A DECENT RESTAURANT
Its a bit poncy but is a nice meal out in a good setting in the heart of Brighton. If you are treating yourselves you can do worse than here - however, its not cheap and the meals can be a bit "nouveau" if you get what i mean. Also nice as a place to pop in for a coffee break in the midst of a shopping spree.

Review of The Victoria

the best boozer next to the train station
The Vic is a straightforward boozer with prices to match. So if you fancy a drink before you get on the train at Portslade/or after arriving, then you might as well save your time walking anywhere else and have a pint with the locals here.Friday nights is karaoke night.after a few pints this can turn into a cracking laugh.

Review of Due South

Best placed restaurant in Brighton
Due South is a great Brighton restaurant.Situated in the arches right on Brighton Beach it is a great place to eat out whatever the weather. If its winter, the sea is great to watch as you fill yourself up with great locally produced food and great wines and beers. If its a summer's day, try and get an outside table and get a taste of Brighton's cosmopolitian seaside scene. Its the place I take new visitors to Brighton and it never fails to impress.

Great for Sunday Lunch
We went to this pub/restaurant recently and would thoroughly reccommend it.Firstly,it serves food later than most other pubs on a sunday - we ordered later than 3pm on a sunday - and the service was great. The menu was varied - everything from roasts to italian meals - and the portions were a decent size. The food was great and the venue (a converted barn) was comfortable with plenty of parking and plenty of seating. A good choice for a family meal.
