Nice for Lunch

I recently visited the Steam Railway for a birthday lunch with friends. Although going through a re-furb currently it is comfortable and has a really nice lounge area. The food was served quickly, which suited us as we were on our lunch break and was freshly cooked and really nice. The staff were really helpful and the landlord is always a good laugh.

Review of The Kingscote Barn

Great for a wedding party

I recently attended a friends wedding at Kingscote Barn and it was lovely. A little hard to find but worth every minute of map reading and arguments with my other half trying to get us there! The venue and location were just lovely for a wedding, well maintained grounds and a venue where you all got to stay together. We had the hog roast in the evening which was fantastic and served in the courtyard. Would highly recommend for a party ... just brilliant!

Amazing Food!

This is a perfect choice for a birthday or special occassion. It's nice and relaxed with a lovely conservatory and the staff are always welcoming. The food is amazing with a huge choice of freshly prepared dishes. If you going then definately give yourself plenty of time as you'll want 3 courses and they are by no means small - so take your time.

What a great transformation ...

Wow ... what a job they've done on the old Pattern Store building, it looks amazing! Being part of a chain of restaurants I had high expectations and can say I wasn't dissapointed! The menu is really good with lots of choice and I always get well looked after. The lunch time offer is great and really good value for money.

Review of Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel

Beautiful Hotel

I stayed at the hotel last October when it had just opened and really cant fault it. Set in a stunning location it has been beautifully built to compliment the area. The rooms were nicely furnished with a balcony to sit and view the lake, great with a glass of wine.

The food was of a high standard with a good wine list- what more could I ask!!

Review of Whitehall Garden Centre

Such a great place!

A visit here is just brilliant and can take the whole day! Its not just a garden centre but a great place to browse around. The choice of plants is brilliant and they have loads of garden accessories to choose from. Not only that but they have a great pet and fish section. My favourite is the food hall, lots of home made and fresh produce which is just brilliant. They also have lots of gifts and 'nic naks' to spend too much on too.

The best curry in Swindon

I love this restaurant, it has such a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food is always amazing. Mr Ali and his daughter Julianna are always there to greet you and make you feel part of the family. I'm never afraid to ask for a recommendation and they have never failed to deliver a great meal. An excellent venue with good food and great value for money.

Good Local Chippy

I was really pleased to hear that we were getting a local chippy. The location is great with lots of parking and a Tesco Express nearby to grab a bottle of wine! The service was a bit slow but I often think this means the food is fresh which works for me. They offer a good menu with lots of choice but I went for good old cod & chips. This fish was lovely but they were a bit generous with the salt & vinegar. Will definately visit again.

Great Chinese Food ...

Which is saying something bearing in mind that I'm not a big Chinese food lover! I've visited both Swindon venues and they are really lovely. Great staff who always do what they can to take care of you. A really good all you can eat menu with loads of choice. The crispy duck is one of my favorites! Really good value for money too - highly recommended!
