Great Lunch Venue 4*

This is a great venue for a business weekday lunch. I recently had lunch here with a bunch of lovely people and the food was de-licious! Super attentive service. Beautiful Ramsey food. Lovely wine. Can have quite a stuffy atmosphere, so make sure you take the right crowd.

Review of Bluebird Restaurant and Bar

MICE 1*

Bluebird has recently been refurbished. My friends and I were keen to revist and check it out. The refit is lovely, very stylish and the atmosphere feels a lot buzzier than before. The space is less cavernous. We had a lovely evening, several cocktails, several bottles of champagne and lovely food. Until... we saw a mouse run across the dining room floor. And then another! Resisting the temptation to scream and stand on our chairs, we complained politely to our waiter who said "Oh yeah, other people have seen them too". When we spoke to the manager he apologised and offered us a measly 20% off our bill. The next day it occured to me quite how pathetic that response was and I wrote an email complaining. I have had no response to that written complaint. I assume they still have mice. Not the ideal dining companions if you ask me.

Review of The Wolseley

Tea Time 5*

Before Christmas I had tea at the Wolseley and it was one of the best afternoons I've ever had in London. My best friend and I were feeling very festive so ordered a bottle of Pommery with our tea. Things got off to a good start. We were so engrossed in the beautiful cake stand of treats that it took us some time to notice that we were SURROUNDED BY CELEBS - Sting & Trudy to the right, Cat Deeley to our left and miscellaneous hard to identify footballers behind us. brilliant. Our tea proved expensive (largely due to the champagne) but entirely worth it. It feels like you are stepping back in time to a far more civilized era, when scheduled champagne teas were the norm...bliss. Thoroughly recommend it. Try and get a seat in the centre circle. Best for star spotting.
