Review of Wahaca

Out Of this World! 5*

This place is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Although it can be hard at times to get a table you can often only have to wait if you go earlier on in the evening.

The food suits most people as there i a variety of different spiciness levels, as well as the option to add chili sauce for those who love hot food.

I would recommend having the churros with chocolate sauce, which are divine regardless of whether you are a chocoholic or not. I suggest that you get one per person as if you attempt to share you will just end up ordering more. :D

The cherry on top of the cake is that they give you free Jalpeno Pepper Seeds (for those who don't know, these are chili seeds which will grow into trees). Although you might be skeptical at whether they will grow, I can assure you that they do grow.

Review of Parkway Fish Bar

Best fish n' chip bar in Dorset. 5*

This is a great place to go if your are on holiday in the area (self catering) and you do not have time to go and buy groceries on the first night, it is also good if you love fish and chips.

It is quite hard to find parking but if you try the smaller roads there usually is a spot.

If you ask every-time you buy fish here they will staple the receipt to a menu. Once you have around 8 (the amount changes) you get a free fish and chips!

They also sell little sachets of sauces in case you do not have any.

Once you have your fish and chips, if it is warm outside, I suggest you drive towards Sandbanks along Sandbanks Rd. You will soon start driving down a hill, park here. You have to pay to park you car here but if you walk to the edge of the cliff/hill you can sit on a bench and see the whole of Poole harbor while you eat. This is especially good in the evening and you see all the lights going on.

Freshest Fish From the Flashiest Fishmongers! 5*

One of the best places to purchase fish. The shop also sells to the surrounding area so you are buying the same fish that most of the restaurants cook. The prices are very fir because of this and the quality is arguably the best in the area.

To get there you must cross a drawbridge by following signs to the channel ferry, then go left instead of right and park outside the shop. There is limited parking but you can always find a spot.

If you are one who likes Tiger prawns I suggest you got on a thursday morning as that is when they bring them in, so the prawns are freshest then and in largest quantities. I suggest you cook them in garlic and butter which makes them taste amazing.

If you want a good variety to choose from I suggest you get there as early as you can in the morning, bearing in mind it opens at 8.30am. Also the store is closed on a Monday as the fishermen have sunday off. If you want more information go to http://www.poolequay.com/diving.html near the bottom of the page.

Review of Toffs

You Must try their fish and chips! 5*

As Tom P. says Toffs definitely has earned their many awards for being the fish and chip shop of the year.

Parking in the area is terrible pretty much all year round but especially on weekends. If you do come by car instead of the 102 bus, I suggest you park in the Marks and Spencers car park.

Toffs do a very reasonable lunchtime fixed menu for about £5 (from memory) You get to choose between Cod or Rock and weather you want it steamed or battered. They serve this with a Tea a soft drink and of course chips and a salad. I always find that for a lunchtime meal this is a very good deal.

If you are not keen on batter Toffs do another type of batter which is much lighter and not so oily. If you ask for matzo meal instead of batter they will do it free of charge.

For the pudding I suggest their chocolate pudding if you have room for it. It is not amazing quality but it is still very nice for the chocoholics out there.

The finest fish restaurant in the area! 5*

This restaurant is accessed via a narrow street, which is very hard to find parking on. However it is often quite easy to double park as there is usually little traffic on the road despite its name. I recall that there was a multi-storey parking centre, which is a 5 minute walk away. The price to park there is usually quite cheap as after a certain point in the evening it is a single price rather than per hour.

The restaurant is famous as the owner catches all the fish that the restaurant cooks. The atmosphere is very quiet and quite cosy. The tables are made of uneven natural wood and there are candles in the centre of the table. As well as a good variety of fish the restaurant serves a few wild animals and some locally produced farm animals. There is as well one or two vegetarian dishes but i would not advise going if you do not eat fish or meat.

The puddings are delicious, even if you are full you find that you are capable of eating a massive pudding yourself it is so nice.

I do suggest that you book ahead as it can get quite busy, even during the winter months.

Review of Cafe Shore

Incredible if you have won the lottery! 5*

I am exaggerating slightly in my title but to feed 3 people, assuming you have 3 course meals and soft drinks, it costs just over £100. However for those who live in the area know this is the price one should expect.

Parking in Sandbanks during the summer months is almost impossible especially during the weekends. Parking off the peninsula then walking for 10-15 minutes to the cafe is often the best solution, although coming before June or after August is a better solution.

The Cafe Shore has two sections, A Pub type of cafe, which serves drinks and light refreshments and the restaurant, which serves full blown banquets! The restaurant is quite posh and does not allow any beach wear. Smart/casual will be fine. I suggest that you book ahead, especially in the summer months and on the weekend.

I have not had the experience of the pub but I would not suggest it for eating or heavy drinking purposes. It seems as an area to congregate prior to eating in the restaurant more than anything else.

The menu in the restaurant serves mostly fish and some meat with a few vegetarian dishes. I would suggest a dish but it seems that the menu changes depending on what the fishermen haul in. However the roast lamb is very nice for those who are not so keen on fish. The food is incredible, it is served very eloquently and the quality is superb. If you wish to have oysters or other such shellfish you must give them 24hrs notice.

For the pudding I recommend the cheeses or, to be honest, any of their desserts are delicious! If you choose the cheeses I suggest that you be adventurous as you will not forgive yourself if you do not.

Best Bike Shop in North London 5*

Extremely friendly staff combine with good service, very fair prices and excellent variety and quality makes this the best bike shop in North London.

Easy to access by bike, car, public transport or walking.

Very close to Hampstead Heath, (the entrance near the Royal Free in Belsize Park)

Incredible! 5*

One of the best Chinese Restaurants in the Golders Green area.

The service is quite fast and extremely friendly. You only have to go once or twice before the staff recognize you.

The food is out of this world. I recommend their Dim Sum which is beautiful.

This is a great place to go for take away or for eating in with a few friends or more. A benefit of eating in is complimentary salted peanuts which are very nice to eat while deciding what to order.

Superb Sushi 5*

Good quality sushi at great prices! The map suggests it is on Golders Green road but is actually on the entrance to Golders Green Crescent. Do not be discouraged by the outside.

They do a very nice type of sushi roll which is larger than most. It is brilliant for both take away's and eating in.
