Review of Freedom Cafe-Bar

Always about the pole...
Nice bar, if a little pretentious. The drinks are fairly expensive for what they are and where the bar is but by far the defining feature of this bar would have to be the pole downstairs.
There's nothing quite like getting very drunk on overly expensive cocktails, wrapping yourself around the pole and really going for it. Brilliant!
Should you happen to be sober you still get to laugh at all the people dancing round the pole. Everyone wins.

Review of The Garrick Arms

Noisy, with nasty toilets
As Nina said, we end up there because it's there - mostly on Friday nights getting very drunkard after a long week. There's no real atmosphere to speak of until our lot turn up and drinks are averagely priced for London.
My biggest gripe? The toilets smell to high heaven and are ridiculously small...

Good but not Great
A nice little Italian chain with a fairly standard menu which gives you no surprises. Favourite dish? Penne pasta with deep fried spinach balls and chilli.
Service is good, and there's no need to book. All in all, a staple little Italian which runs nice and smoothly though may benefit from a menu update.

Review of H K Diner

Does what it says on the tin
An excellent place for a quick bite to eat after being out drinking. Great tasting food (actually one of my favourite Chinese places in the Capital food wise), not too expensively priced.
Its one drawback is the "quick one in one out" atmosphere. That, and as pointed out above, the constant staring from the staff who clearly don't have enough to do. Lets you know how it'd feel to eat inside a fish bowl.

Review of Bootys

Tiny, but very friendly
Bootys is indeed a grand old place to while away some hours. Very small, so not great if it's busy and you want some space, but nicely friendly and nicely priced.

Review of Narrow Street Pub & Dining Room

Spectacular View...
I disagree with both of the above. Living locally (and who is to say whether I'd agree if I had to travel there), the Narrow is a great place to have as your local.
It was recently redone to make a large portion of the outside covered over and as warm as the inside. The drinks in here are a little expensive, but for the surrounding real fire, and the view of the Thames and the rest of London that this place gives you - it's more than worth it.
