The Dog 
The dog is a quality old fashioned boozer. You'd probably only want to go there if your up for a serious drink though.
Place is always busy no matter what the time and always seems to be full of people on major sessions.
That said the locals are actually really friendly and defo know how to have a good laugh.
Beer is a little disappointing, but only because they only sell same beers you get in almost every pub.

Bands
Good small venue, which manages to attract some seriously decent bands.
Definately out punches its weight.
Went to see Captain there and had a great night.
Good to see such a decent band in such a small venue.
Always liked the Ship, so makes a change for a pub to be revamped into a better pub.

Review of The Glue Pot

Summer Time
Great old fashioned boozer in the Railway Village. Massive selection of beer and bottled lager.
Great place to spend a sunny day, sitting outside and working your way slowly through the drinks list.
Recommend the Perry, sort of like alcoholic pear squash.
Be very careful with the cider !
