if you love tapas then you will love it in here. you order on thefirst floor then you go down stairs and eat in the restuarant there, service is excellent and the food is really good. lovely fish dishes, I am not a fishy fan but my friend is and she loves it!

every time I walk by here you have trouble seeing inside because the windows are always steames up shame as I know they have a really good reputuation the staff are well trained, but the prices are way to high for me and my budget!!

they are good at their job
this place is conveniently located in Basrnstaple's High Street. The sub way board man is usually stood right outside, so you can't miss it. they do a superb range of digital cameras and accessories/ the only this to do though is use their brains, get them to recommend the best camera to you and then go and get it cheaper on the internet!!!

Ali's Alcove is tucked out of the way, but well worth seeking out if you can find it. they do all the usual kebab stuff and they do deliver. they also have special price deals and you can buy certains items together for a reduced price. great to go to if you are fed up with fish and chips!

the bubble machine that they have outside the front door is fine if you have young children but a nuisance if you are wearing sunglasses! the staff are very clued up on their stock and they offer a really good ordering service. the store could do with being bigger, as it only need a couple of mums in there with pushchairs and you cannot move!

look at the queue!!
whenever I go in here it is always busy. I came down really early one saturday morning and they were still queuing. they have a good service where you can pre order stuff which is good as I have been inbefore and the item I want is out of stock, and that is very frustrating. staff are very helpful, and there is a lady who is designated to keep the queues down!

Ruda is the best place to go if you have a small family, especially young children there are lots of things for children to do.
Also near by is cascades which is a great place for splashing around and having fun!!

I was absolutely amazed by how much libraries have changed since I was a little girl. I took my youngest daughter in here and was amazed at the range of services that they provide. I could not only borrow books but rent cd's ,dvd's and also talking books. the service is ever expanding. the staff were helpful, but it is a huge building and I think staff were a little thin on the ground the day I went in. overall excellent

this place is an absolute must if you amke your own curtains or clothes. everything is directly form the adjoining factory. prices are amazing. they have got their only little car park which is handy. I went in with some measurements for my window, and the lady ther helped me out and worked out how much material I would need. excellent service

this place is full of beutifully colour co ordinated surfy type clothing. the prices are on par with other shops in the area. they have a good range of accessories for sale. the staff are typical yougsters and not really bothered, but if you can get somebodies attention it is certainly worth buying something. I got a lovely pair of surfy flip flops last year!

this is the place to go if you want a romatic meal for two. the restaurant is really samll and very homely the new owners have exrtended the menu and the food is delicious. the prices are fairly average. you will have a lovely evening. the strand is not as busy now as it is closed to traffic so it is very quiet

this is an aladdins cave for book lovers. the shop is packed to the rafters with books, and it does feel a litlle cramped. I would not suggest it is a good idea to bring young children in as they would probable get told off by the owner, or maybe I am the only one this has happened to ! anyway a good place to go for a bargain

this place is amazing 2 floors of the most incredible soft funishing you could ever wish for. you could furnish your whole house in here. pricey but the quality is stunning. I have bought lamps and curtains and pictures here. the designs are very different. and they do a lot of one offs. the service is also excellent please not , do not bring young children in here, you would be a nervous wreck!

went in here with my daughter and had to beat a hasty retreat. it was not what I though it was going to be. had a few fluffy things in the window but that was quite misleading. would not recommend tol anyone with young children

this is the place to go if you are looking for a short trerm or long term job contract. staff are well trained and really do care about where they place you. the shop is having a refit , which will make it even more cutting edge

I used to drive passed this place everyday, and wander how they stay in businees. I have been proved correct as I drove by the other day it had all closed down and the shop was bare. hope all the adults didin't escape

always a bargain to be had
prices are fab here. always a special offer or two to be had. a huge selection of nuts, spices and all manor of baking ingredients. staff are friendly and helpful. bit tight for pram space though. would recommend

open all hours
this place never seems to close. you can get all manor of magazines, sweets and mints from here. handy free ads section at the front of the shop. only thing that lets this place down is the service. the young girl that served me a while ago was really miserable.!

rules and regulations
had an evening spoiled when my daughter who paid for a film, was then not let in because she was not with an adult. they would not refund her money even though she was not allowed to see the film. despicable and not good to see my daughter in tears

where has it gone
chicago rock was a cutting edge young hip hop place when it first came to town, now it has been taken over and taken over again. I always am hearing people moan about it which is a shame. just goes to prove that if it aint broke don't fix it

this is a lovely place to go if you wish to daydream over things that you cannot afford, well for me anyway. the styles are stunning and the clothes beautifully made. I just wish that I could afford to buy something form here.

is it a cafe or a restaurant
not really sure what this place is trying to be. the coffee and cake in the monring is ok then it goes to a really expensive al a carte menu later on. the decor is ok, but nothing really invites me to spend any time in here. it is a little out of the way. parking is a nightmare

good value compared to other places in town. smells fantastic when you wlak by. staff are freindly and service is good. there is a seating area at the back where there is waitress sewrvice. portions are quite generous

sandwich heaven
this is the place to go for your lunch. you could have a different snadwich filling every day for a whole year and still not get through their menu. staff are friendly and service is quick . prices are resonable too.

ooh look at the price
my husband paid £100 for a pair of shoes form here. criminal! prices are steep but I suppose you get what you pay for. staff are a little over bearing and make you feel a bit surplus to requirements. would recommend to those who have more money than sense

tucked out of the way
this place is a little off the beaten track but it is definitely worth a visit. they do some beautiful clothing and the clothes are very tasteful. Shame it is out of my budget, but nice to have a look!
