Review of Carry Me Home

Buy buy baby
Until recently, mention the word "baby" and it would bring me out in a rash. Then my cousin got pregnant, and suddenly the whole idea doesn't seem so ridiculous. With her due date looming, I went to Carry Me Home in search of a gift... and left empty handed. Though there are some very sweet toys in here, I was after clothing (preferably something with ears, as this will make the baby look less human, ergo, less frightening) however, the selection here is a bit dismal. All of the T-shirts, babygrows etc have been daubed in DIY fluffy lettering (the type you squeeze on, then dry with a hairdryer - you will have experimented with this aged about 12), saying "cute" things like "My mummy loves chocolate". Just not my cup of tea - if they're yours, then at least the lady who runs the shop is lovely, and it's in a nice part of Kingly Court.
