Review of Slaughtered Lamb

Beer, fish fingers and electronica
Airy yet comfy pub with a good selection of beers and live music in the basement (which sort of looks like a large living room). It can get quite busy on an evening - opt for a stool at the bar and be ready to pounce on a table.
Food-wise, you know you're in Clerkenwell when it costs £8.10 for fish fingers and chips! But this is not necessarily a bad thing at The Slaughtered Lamb. The menu is not expansive - 3 fish and chip variations, sausage and mash (meat and veggie varieties) and a few sandwiches. But what it does serve, it does really well. The fish fingers are home made and are wonderfully irregular, served with piping hot chips.

Review of The Well

Well above average!
This is one of the best spots in London to have dinner in summer with friends on a Friday evening. The menu changes regularly (v good fish) and is light and airy on the ground floor. Decent wine list too. They have a room downstairs that can be hired out - cosy for about 70 people - with a private bar and fishtanks!
