Shame 
The only one out of the group that stayed open after the others were closed down at barnstaple, torquay and exeter. Thsi one now is about to close too as the competition from currys and the like just got far too much to deal with!!

12 inch
This was a fantastic place to go and rummage through the stuff he always had on display! the vinyl records he used to have were great and kept me in 12 inch vinyl for a while! Such a shame they have now had to close!

Not there
This office has closed now but was nice when it was open, simon, the ex manager was very switched on. The offices available in north devon now inc barnstaple and holesworthy. They really do seem to be specialising in the farming industry!

only just closed down a couple of months ago, its a shame as they really did cater for the children aswell as the adults, they also had a reading corner for all reading standards to sit and read a book or two before buying! Such a shame they had to close but with wh smith coming to town its not surprising

this was the very first place i got a job in but i hate to say its now not there. Its now a clintons cards shop which saddens me deeply! the store was fantastic and used to serve its clients in the old fashioned manner! If you need to get to a currys or comet now you have to get yourself off to dorchester or weymouth now!! Such a shame

this shop used to be called Bells years ago but only last year was sold and has now be changed into 3 houses! Its a shame as it meant you could travel up from the south part of the town and get your sweets and things withour going into the town. The new supermarket at the bottom of town didnt help either!!

No longer here now im afraid, its now a very huge coffe shop which now competes with the huge macy dees right opposite! the shop when it was open really struggled to survive with the massive chains just a few hundred yards away! no surprise they have closed then hey!!

i have to say the day time drinkers this place attracts puts me off going in here during the eve! the place always again has smokers spilling out onto the street plus they have a poole table right by the window and the choice language that comes from there onto the street is not great in the daytime

Yuck
i always pass this pub most days and there are always at least 6 people on the doorstep smoking and it doesnt look great! The inside looks very uninviting plus they only really cater for the real heavy pub goer! Not impressed so wont be going in at all!!

the only petrol station to service the little town for quite a distance, but unfortunately with tesco and sainsbury only 9 miles away they drove this station out of business, the fabric shop that has replaced it i hope is doing ok!

Dont do it!
Loan sharks are being batted off the high st but some still remain. Tjhis one is bleak and generally attracts the unsavoury people of a town! Do avoid this place if you can, you will be charged so much interest and still be in the poop!

Such a shame
Why is when you have found such a great shop it decides to remove itself from the high st!! Some fantstic interactive toys to play with and the learning equipment was fantastic here. The staff were exceptional too, i hope they all managed to get re-housed in great jobs!!

Hoody
im so happy to say that ive never had the need to visit this jobcentre as a client, but i have had to visit to talk business with them and im so glad i managed to get them to come to me the second meet! Its got some very strange people who seem to hang around the place for a long time, the staff are so over worked and the outside of the premesis is a meeting place for the hoody brigade!

Very bad organisation that will end up with very little business very soon if they carry on the way they are! They dont follow up calls/faxes when they say they do and they have a habbit of promising people things they just have no way of delivering! A shambles is all i can describe this agency as!

I remember certainly seeing at least one of the john menzies here but it was many yrs ago now. When visiting the town it was very much a popular shop! A real shame they had to go but a sign of the times i suppose!

Very unimpressed
I have to say for a national company this business in barnstaple is appalling! The service you get once you walk into the showroom is very unprofessional and the girl lloks as though she is a prisoner in the showroom. They only want to speak with you if you want to order there and then, im not impressed with this office at all.

Very poor
I have to say this estate agency is very poor, the office is dreary and very small. The guy behind the desk doesnt want to know about anything when you walk in and the stock he has is very old and not upto date! I have to say i wouldnt be happy to deal with this place as its totally unprofessional!

Not nice to be honest
I have to agree with the above, we have our north devon spurs meetings here every month, ive no idea why, i suppose its close to where the chairman lives!! The bar is poorly stocked, the lady who runs the pub is less than cheerfull and its very cold in here even in the summer! The garden isnt too bad but i wouldnt suggest you eat here, it doesnt seem very clean in here if im honest! They have often run out of some beers so i drink an orange juice when i have to go here!!

Not good
This company have been advertising hugely on tv recently so when i decided to sell my daughters bunk beds in favour of a new single bed we shot off down to see Heli. I was so dissapointed in this place in every way, the prices were low but the beds choice was awful, the quality was poor, the showroom felt damp, the staff wern`t bothered and i felt like it was a chore us being there, i wouldnt recommend this at all!!

A real drinkers pub which to be honest doesnt hold any appeal for me! Its right on the junction to the high st and new st, right opposite the chippy and the people it gets in here are a pretty select few if you get my meaning. Poole table, darts etc, went in here once for a poole match and not been in since! STICKY CARPETS and all

this is a typical mfi of old! Its shabby, not brilliantly stocked and the designs are pretty poor! I thought they had uped their game in the last few years but this branch is not with it at all! The people who work here dont really care whether you buy or not so Furnfix here we come!! Saying that, or SWD in Bideford!!

Very poor
Im not impressed with this outfit at all! The shop is dreary from the outside and the guys in the shop are so up themselves its not naturall! There is huge amounts of stock though but then thats becuase they dont ever seem to sell anything! Not my idea of a good shop at all, not one i would pay my hard earned cash too!

im really not impressed with this sports shop at all, not only do they close on a wed afternoon, they stock very little! My guess is that the owner loves rugby, hockey and tennis! There are no football shirts at all in stock and they hold very few training shoes! My son was most put out, i did try to give this small shop some business but they sometimes dont help themselves!!

Really not impressed
The local citroen dealer and not my favourite at all. I walked in here 6 mths ago to try and get some idea of prices etc for nik, she wanted a c3 in a particular colour, i had terrible reactions from two sales guys and felt they didnt really want my custom

Nothing like the tv adds, this company are a joke. They are quite new in barnstaple and have a very bad reputation already! The office is staffed by kids who dont care and the cars are always in bad nick. I wanted to hire a car on behalf of a client and learnt my lesson the hard way!

we used to shop in this store quite alot a year ago but now the quality of the stock has gone right down hill and this atmosphere in the store is awfull! The tat they hold is poor in quality and the people in the store are not exactly the type you want to spend any time with!! Not impressed

this is an example of the style of shop that winds me right up!! Why would anyone want to pay £4 for some flufy rubbish when your daughter can make a far better card at school or at hoem for far less and it means alot more! I cannot abide Clintons, what a rip off!!! WELL DONE!!!!

for a town the size of honiton this store is terrible! I lived in honiton for 10 yrs and the population really exploded and the tesco just didnt cater for the demand. Not enough stock, the car park is always full and the guys in there look like they are stressed

i have to say this stuff is not for me! After a night out on the coals, i so needed someting to eat, went in and had what i thought would be some lovely food. oh no, spoilt by unfresh filling and a very tough bread roll! Im sure it gets better but its not for me
