Chicken in a basket 
just around the corner from where i used to work, the castle does a mean chicken in a basket plus a pint all for under £4. The landlord has been here for over 20 yrs and now owns the pub so is not under pressure from the brewery! It has a lovely long back garden and plenty of atmosphere! They still run a poole league and loves its darts!!

Lady drivers
One of 3 taxi furms in the town but i have to say this one seems to be the one to use! they always seem to keep upto date with their cars and the y do have a couple of ladies driving, which in this day and age is a great idea for the females! they have an office just around the corner from two pubs in the centre and are open all year round!!

Kept the poole/darts team
The only real pub properly catering for the 21st century! Its been completely re-decorated in the recent past plus has started to do some quality affordable food too. The clientele has changed a little with some higher quality people coming in, they have still managed to keep their darts/poole teams which i think is a good thing!

Review of Potters Furniture Axminster

Older generation 
along with Axminster carpets, this company is the mainstay of the town. Its right in the middle and goes around the corner into chard st. Its got two floors and reminds me a little of grace brothers. It has some very high quality products such as setee`s, furniture, carpets, and curtains but tend to attract the older generation! Not really my cup of tea! Pretty expensive too.

Very rustic little station
What a lovely little village railway station, its on the main paddington line which sees the paddington train pass through here twice a day on its way down to penzance finally. The station has been decorated recently but has kept its rustic old look. Its a lovely clean station thats always buzzing!!

very small
An independant little carpet outlet just by the railway crossing in axminster. they have been brave in taking on axminster carpets but seem to be doing really well. They do sell axminsters surprisingly but are suffering since the introduction of the factory outlet! they do have a nice litle showroom but parking is a little awkward!

offcut value!
A Real old fashioned printers that has divercified about 10 yrs ago to enable the public to buy directly from the printers themselves! They have opened a little counter for the businesses to be able to buy there sationary here plus pretty cheap off cut paper!! Excellent value here!

Review of Axminster Guildhall

Centre of town attraction
I used to work right next door to the guildhall, its been there for many years and is getting busier by the year!! It has small disco`s for the youngsters on a friday eve which is well received plus is used on numerous coffee/tea mornings for the elderly! A real centre of the twon attraction for all to enjoy!!
