Very very obtainable now 
All in all one of the nicest and best shoe shops in the city! They still offer the fitting service for free for my kiddies and the cost of most of their shoes that used to be inhibitive are now available to most! the quality is always there and the choice of trendy stuff is right up there with the best now!

Skater boys shoes
This is my sons fav shoe shop. Its just off the guildhall square and stocks all the skater boy shoes and pumps that used to be in many yrs ago! The quality and product range are great and the staff are really helpful and very keen for you to make a purchase! All in all a great shop but it will empty your pocket if your not carefull!

A beautiful show shop for the older more affluant of us! Its right opposite the cathedral square and is very grande with the style of its stock. The prices are very out of range for the every day customer but the goods are also very very unique. Its often busy with lots of retired visitors!

The guildhall is a lovely old building right in the middle of the high st, its where the local council have their meetings and the mayor is often seen arriving in his chaufeur driven car entering the guildhall! Its very grande inside and is over 300 yrs old!

great value visit
This is amazing to see, i didnt realise this was available to see but since the new princesshay has been built they have an attraction now for you to be able to see the undergraound passaged that run all the way under the city! Its reasonably expensive but i have to say its really interesting and great for kids and adults!! Good value for me

another great view
this is one of those michel caine bars!!! which are allabout simplicity!! great cream teas,paninis baguettes and toasties!!!! if you go in the evening then you can choose pasta faijita's MC burgers or spanish tapas. we both had the panins which are to die for with cheese and bacon etc!!!!

this is agreat place situated right in the centre of Exeter.the starters would be good to hsare as you probably won't have any room for main courses!!! the steaks to die for and are perfectly cooked!!! for a side dish we had the roasted sweet potatoes which to be honest i thought i would hate but they were ok!!

i can't be doing with their fancy breakfast stuff ie-croissant's etc!!! but their salads and sandwiches are lovely!!!they are all baguettes basicelly with more or less whatever you want in them!!! great range of wines-too many to choose from=and a great kids menu!!!

here you can enjoy an afternoon cream tea outside weather permiting!!! this is just a little away from the hustle and bustle of Princesshay!!!the menu is great local produce is used!!! anythign from steak and kidney pie-my favourite!!!or their speciality welsh rarebit!! Kiddies get their own menu!! well worth a stop!!

brilliant!!
this is a great place to eat and if the weather is nice a lovley place to eat outside!!! the service is good but if they are really busy then you may have to wait a while. the food was fantastic-my pizza was very rustic looking and full of parma ham and the crust was just right-not too thick and not too cripsy. my partner had a rissotto which looked and tasted fabulous!!! well worth a visit.

what a great place
this place has been a restaurant for over 40 years!!it has lovley warm decor wooden floors and quite contemporary furniture.to start the evening try one of their cocktails-then head for the specials board-chicken breats filled with mozzarella and ham!!! delicious!!! the prices are alitlle high but the quality is excellent!!they also have an execellent range of wines.

The lady here kept in touch with me very well, really understood my needs and got me two interviews even though i had found a position by then! Very good service and id recommend very much!!

Very much the secretarial agency in the city, the girls in here are very switched on but they do seem to have quite a staff churn here. They do come back to you when they say they will but the lack of experience lets them down a little!!

Used to be a very well run outfit with offices all over the south west but now the management seems to have got it all wrong! The office is shabby and they seem to have very young and not well versed staff in place now. They said they would come back to me within a week of seeing them but no call at all!!

A lovely recruitment agency right next to the soap shop, this agency smells just lovely!! Its very professional and really do help you if your looking for that job in sales! You have a brief interview and the guys here do take you very seriously! Nice clean and inviting office and the staff are very professional!

A bit of a pawn shop but not too badly dispalyed! They keep gratings all over the windows most of the day plus its situated in the rougher part of the city! Onec in your suprised at the size of the shop, pretty big and the little man running it is very helpful and obliging! Some very nice Gold on offer in here, ring wise!!

I would say this was the dearest and poshist shop in the town. If your after top of the range watches and gold then its here you need to visit! they have gurads at the door and they wont let you in if you look like a hoody! The cartier watches and the Rolex watches stand out and much of the products are not priced!

They have a huge selection of gold and platinum plus they will always look at making you some jewellery bespoke for you! One of the very best jewellery shops in the city! If you are after silver or platinum products then you cant go wron in here! Robert is very helpful and so very knowledgable, he will be happy to get you jewellery custom made to your spec and the time for products is really good! right opposite the M&S of the city and near the main shopping centre, this traditional jeweller is i would say one of the busiest! Its inbetween the samulas and the top jewellers in the town! You can see plenty of quality here and the choice is huge, the staff are friendly and happy to help! I would recommend if you wanted quality at a budget price

The theatre is based at the university campus and is pretty big! They have lots of different acts, ie classical music, up and coming bands and some comedy acts, Lee evans is there next month but sold out in about half an hour! The theatre is quite old and has grown its popularity over the last 10 years!

This is a lovely little theatre on the way into the city centre. Everytime you walk past the entrance you always walk past the painted figures on the wall, the side doors are often open on a sat afternoon and you can watch them rehearsing for the matinee! The theatre is quite small but very cosy atmosphere!

Used to be an internet cafe but now a juice bar, you can crawl off the train at central station and pop in here before a days shopping! The staff are great and the choice of juices are really good! The new stuffed cheese bits pizza is the one for me, they serve you up a brilliant 12 incher then say you can have as much salads etc as you can eat, blimey, they really do give you plenty of value for money here plus the sweet factory in this pizza hut has the best selection of sweets and syrups in the town. right in the middle of a huge housing estate, ideal for the locals!! The pub is huge with the brewers fayre feel about it, it has a huge menu and does do very well with its food etc! the bar is huge too so you`ll never got thursty! A lovely pub if you happen to live around here but not one you`ll find yourself just popping in as its quite out of the way!

with the introduction of the Vue screens, the odeon is really struggling undersatndably. They do have 5 screens here but the seating is pretty old and uncomfortable compared to the seats you get at the vue! Also the cost is sometimes more than the competator so im surprised they still get visitors! they do have some good second screen films but i have to admit why would you want to come here rather than the Vue?

The perfume dept hits you as you enter the store, then you have a choice of either up stairs to 3 more floors for fashion for the ladies ar house products or the food restaraunt! I was always a next purchaser but im afraid i have to admit that since the opening of this new huge store in princesshay i have shopped there alot less! the shop is lovely but they have got very samey now, there seems to be alot less choice evn though the stock is a huge amount! They will still insist on having very young assistants who really dont bother about helping, im very much a designer at debenhams man now for all the reasons i mentioned negatively above!!

a pretty big store with a huge amount of bikes to choose from! they do sell boxed bikes here to keep the price down to compete with halfords but most of the bikes will be made up for you so you can get going straight away! The main advantage of buying from here is that the guys are bike fans and know what they are doing!!

This shop is now right opposite the brand new princesshay shopping centre, the bus station on the other side! We went in here twice considering a house in countess weir but could only make it on a sat, the guys here were great and stayed open way beyond their open times! Very helpful and extremely knowledgable of the exeter area! Costs are very competative too, mainly with fulfords!!

I could never see how this industry could make any money until i had to buy 25 trophies for our five a side league in honiton! The guy had the trophies in stock and the prices were a little more than i was expecting, £4 per trophy. The amount he carries in stock is amazing but then all the sports organizations in and around the city use him! I very interesting place to visit!

Right opposite the main hospital, this facility is fantastic for the cricket and hockey people amongs t us! they play on astro turf and fully flood lit! the area goes back a fair way and backs onto the nuffielf private hospital the other side! You can use the facility but really need to be a memeber of either clubs!!

this is just heaven this shop for both kids and their adults. They have the airfix models and the mecahno models to be made or pre-made. They will be happy to get out any of the models for you to play with and are happy to have you stay and play for hrs. The atmosphere here is awsome and love to visit!

Great building
The building is very appealing but i feel its blanked out by the high st stores! Set back off the high st, the library is a big 4 floor building which, as the main city in devon, has the room and stock to cater for all tastes! its a true library and will cater for any outrageous demands! the modern section is very hi tech and very useful for the kiddies and their exam revising!!

One of the countries oldest high st establishments, they were up there with M&S once but slipped away in the last few yrs. The exeter branch has had a refurbishment dont to the front of the shop and the stock is far easier to find now! the fashion is just as you walk in and the lighting etc dept is right at the back! A lovely place to shop at xmas and the gifts dept is very useful for the aunties presents!!

Wrong way round!
this place reminds me of tk max, its full of loads of clothes and packed with kids who are looking for cheap clothes to go back to college! They are displayed a little better than tk max but the aisles are still full of people who are trying on and throwing clothes all over the place! The changing rooms here are huge for the guys, smaller for the woman, wrong way round guys!!!!

Its got 10 snooker tables and several poole tables! there is a great bar with several huge tv`s to watch on a footie night! The only dawnside is that you cant see any daylight up here and it does feel a little cramped if you stay for too long!! Still greta for a couple of hrs though!

Sale
Yes, they are cheaper than most electrical stores but generally there is a reason! Ive just bought some speakers from here and yes they`ve been fine but the hifi wa for my son so all it needed to do was play the base! My hifi speakers had to come via the technics specialist in exeter which i tend to prefer. The guys here do know bits of info but its so clear to me they are only interested in the sale at the end of it!

Very usefull
This is a very interesting shop, its great to be able to take your computer to this shop if you have softwear issus plus you can pick up a s/hand system after its been reconditioned. the staff here are very helpful to the layman and its never snowed under in the shop

i love this electriacl retailer. If your keen on B & O tv`s then this guy has the choice you need. There is a B&O shop just opened the other side of the city buy Howards know the techno stuff and they are an independant! Say no more!!

Research
im not really a great fan of the these big chains but this comet is pretty good. Ive managed to find some good deals for my pc here plus some games for a nintendo. My only problem with this comet is that they never seem to have enough staff on the floor and when you find one they never know what they`re doing!! You generally have to research before you come here!!

Very cosy
I really like this pub/restaraunt, its very cosy under the high/queen st. The meals are lovely and it gets very popular with businesses out on a works do. They have a huge long table in the middle so you can get 25 people all eating together. the beer is priced ok and the atmosphere gets great when later in the eve

sports bar
this place can seem a little rowdy from outside but its great when you get in esp if you like the football. They have two main bars which do get very full and rowdy on the weekends. Its had a good lick of paint in the last year, its not in the nicest part of exeter but high enough up the street to get people flowing out of walkabout if thats full! I like the little dancefloor you can boogie at too

All Change
Like the above review, im gutted this pub has now changed hands. The place has changed a little inside and has 3 floors, the middle and upper has loads of seats to sit on! The prices are very different to before and the choice of beers is nothing compared to the other big boys in town! Bouncers on the doorstep but not to stop you coming in as not as busy as it used to be

Grace brothers
I really like this store but as a man i feel i shouldnt!! Its always seemed to me in the past as old fashioned but the last few times we`ve visited we never fail to buy. I bought lots of little nick nacks for xmas here last year and the lighting dept with all the lamps and shades is brilliant! They are very helpful here as it seems still a little like grace brothers in this branch! Very good though.

Very loud downstairs!
Very much one of the pubs on the pub crawl circuit! The two floors get rammed around 10 pm on weekends then people start to go to the quay. The big screens are great esp when there is a good football match on. The prices are pretty competative but you really need to go upstairs if you want to chat with your mates!

Fresh stock
the smallest of the 3 sainsburys in the city but for me my favourite. We spend a fiar amount of time in the guildhall and always get a sandwich meal deal from here for lunch! Very much a cmpetitor to the tesco metro store but i much prefer this store, not as hectice and the shelves always seem to have good amounts of fresh stock!

Very accomodating
I have only ever been in this shop twice, its very long and has a massive amount of modern stock for the larger ladies out there. I have to say that big is beautiful from some of the clothes ive seen in here on some of the large ladies ive seen in here. its a clean and well stocked shop which looks pretty busy most times ive been by!!

old fashioned for me
this was a clothes shop i always used to shop at when i was a kid. these days the designer clothing you can get is much easier to afford so burtons really isnt as good a value shop as it was! I find the clothes here very ordinary and ill fitting. I wear a suit to work and would always have recommended this shop for a suit but debenhams have got my vote now

I love getting the sultana`s and nuts from here, they have any amount of health products, high energy drinks and vitamin tablets which ive started to take now! they are always having a sale on and sometimes you can save a bundle if you time it right here!! the big bag of swwets are a little fav of mine too!

Penny chews
A really nice feel about the newsagents. it does the lottery and the sweets here are just brill. I love the way you can buy any amount of what used to be penny chews here and the lady who owns it like to keep it all the old way of doing business. I always get some sweets here when in exeter. Love this shop!!

Less pressured!
this has been a mobile phone shop for years but not always orange! Its a bit bigger than the other one further down the high st, the stock is better and the staff seem to be a little more mature here. I bought a lead to connect my phone to the lappy here and got lots of free advice too! I do like this shop, its not as pressured as others i could mention

Two floors
A huge shop with two floors to chose from. Very very handy for kitting out my son for ten torrs this year, does tents, all camping gear, walking gear including footwear, its started to get quite trendy now too! Was quite expensive a few years ago but much better now

this was my other halves bank, i can see why she changed from here. They dont stay open for long on a sat, the cashpoint is indoors and there is very little room for people in there! Its also right on the corner of two streets so can get very congested right at the entrance!

great Liver
just one of the best butchers in the city, im a bit biast as the factory is in willand where i live. The choice of meats are superb, the joints of beef are yummy and the offle, i love liver and kidneys are always very very lean! Ive nearly stopped getting any meat from the supermarket now as this butcher has it all for us!!

A central focal place for a bank to be. Its a very airy bank to visit, all the tills are now open to the public which came across as weird initially but i have to say its alot less inpersonal. Lots of cashpoints both in and outside, the staff are very helpful and they`re open until 4.30 on a saturday which works for me!! Poor sods who have to work though!

Big Kid
im right in my element here. Its heaven for all kids bith young and old here. Games, novalty bits, great stocking filler ideas, board games from years ago, fantastic puppitts, just such a lot of fun to visit, i stay in here for hours playing with the toys! There should be more shops like this about!!

High quality
a very high quality jewellers. Its never really very busy in here but the stock and the look of the shop is top class. I was lucky enough to have a watch bought for me from here, the staff treat you like royalty and when they look to take out any stock fort you to see they lock the front door!!

sat right inbetween two very good coffee shop/restaraunts, this subway is busy but very very small. It does tend to get busy as its sat right opposite the guildhall shopping centre. The food is ok but not really my cup of tea. The main thing i found about this subway is the staff seemed much better than the others in the city

An upmarket coffee shop, more like starbucks in appearance and quality. different style teas, panini`s, cappachino`s, latte`s, hot choc`s etc etc! you can sit outside plus inside, the food is nice and easy to eat and the service is nice and quick!

Right at the edge of queen st, this is very classy, very big and sells all that is italian! the food is beautiful and nice and light. We love to have a lunch snack here with a little bottle of italian red! Very popular so sometimes its good to book esp at night

Im not really an angler but when my son said he wouldnt mind having a go at fishing i though we`d better have a look here. I couldnt believe the choice and the stock you need to get started. I was amazed at the bait they had here to choose from plus the amount of money you really need to look at spending. the choice and stock is brilliant and the staff are very helpful, even though i did have to spend slot more thatn id liked!

Fantastic day out!!
These guys are superb, we hired 4 bikes during half term at easter and cycled all the way to the turf hotel! The ride takes in two pubs and is really flat, the guys helped us all get the right size bike and were really good about the time we could have the bikes for! When we returned i said to him, how far have we been, about 4 miles? He said, oh no, more like 13!! Then my backside reminded me of the distance by not allowing me to walk very well! Great though, well worth the effort

This shop is pretty close to my favourite hifi shop in sidwell st. The instruments here are plentyfull and they have two floors of things that can be played at your leisure! the guys here are music mad and enthuse you to get involved even if you cant play! I couldnt get my son of the drums here

feel safe
Very popular with the ladies but not very big. They are big on dancing with exercise here and they all seem to belong to the local running club! They really could do with expanding but with the work at princesshay its not going to be possible! Nice club, you`ll feel safe here
