friendly 
this is a typical jewellers but the staff are really friendly and they have a large selection of really pretty jewellery. set on a busy road it's not a great place for parking but there are a quite a few car parks and out fo season you can park on the seafront.

great beach 
my partner(born and bred in paignton) has always prefered this beach to paignton's as there is hardly any seaweed on Preston beach but Piagnton beach is covered in the stuff and if you go in the sea on paignton you get seaweed everywhere!!! preston is alot more friendly and has a good restaurant too!! plus if the tide is olut you can walk round from Preston to Paignton.

quality
On arrival your served with canape`s and pre-meal drinks, its set in an amazing locationwith stunning views of the bay and harbour! The restaurant is finished in a very contempary style and the menu can offer you some very grand meals if you choose that! the service is excellent but can be a bit too much i feel!

great village cricket
what a lovely cricket ground this is!! Was there this weekend, the weather was superb and the cricket farsacle but then that village cricket for you! The clubhouse is tiny and there is no places for the public to sit so you have to sit on the pavement or sit up a tree to watch for any time! great though when the weather is lovely

Drinking route
Right in the middle of town, does very good wholesome food and has two or three different sports going on on the many tv`s in the bar! Used to be an amusement arcade so its pretty big inside. Gets busy on fri and sat`s but is on the drinking route for party`s!! Not too bad if your out with a group of friends!!

very nice
went here for my leaving do when i left south hams radio. The lounge is pretty big with a huge fish tank in the middle, dividing it into two! The guys serving were brilliant and the meal was awsome!! I cant take too hoter indian but this one i thought was first class.

what a dive 
this is overcrowded smelly too busy and not enough room to cope with the amount of people that come and go. after a certain hour you have to hand all glasses back and you get these plastic ones-why not just give plastic ones for outside in the first place?? toilets have definately seen better days and i would not use the toilet after a while!!!! they are obviously not cleaned very often!!

great local bar
this again is in the heart of torbay road a great localpub. not very big inside and if it is busy then you have no chance of being able to sit. although predominately a drinking hole they have a really good menu at cheap prices and the quality and quantity is really really good. the portions are quite large too!! decor typical local pub-

good carvery
this is right on torbay road which is the main road that leads from the town centre to the beach-looks good from outside and inside decor is ok!! the carvery is lovely-not one of the best i have had but the meats are nice and fresh looking as opposed to dried out-plenty of veg to choose from adn tey also have a good menu if the carvery is not your thing

not good food
this is a really pleasant looking place from outside-the decor inside is really nice and plenty of places to sit. toilets are clean and tidy. you tend to queue quite a bit at the bar if it is a busy night-the food on teh other hand-not good!! the gammon i had was really tough and the portions are quite small-not worth the visit

this is a great restaurant although a little on the expensive side!! staff very friendly but you do need to book if you are going ther weekends!! food is great portions are substantial-every thursday they have a traditional portuguese night!! worth a shot.

machines machines!!
this is a typical pier!! it has bouncy slides at the end and trampolines!! not my cup of tea when you have the sea the other side of you!! loads of hi tec games but some good old fashioned slot machines and there is always bingo!!??

great pub by the sea
they have a great review here for new bands-usually playing on thursdays and weekends-good pub food and at prices you can afford. when the live bands are playing can get really difficult to hear yourself talking -quite a large seating area and big garden area.

the food is ok and the portions are good but nothing out of the ordinary-the carvery is ok but nothing on some of the ones i have visited!!!the entertainment is good and there is something for everyone every night-huge seating areas so not much of a need to book.

what great carvery
this well exceeded expectations. this carvery is superb and i happen to like a really good carvery. the food is well presented and always piping hot-the chef is really friendly as are his staff and they always make sure you are ok!!it does tend to get busy so for sundays i suggest you book.

as much as the view of the seafront etc is ok and it is right next to the new multiplex cinema and the new crazy golf-this isnt a great place to eat!! the food is late arriving and on more than one occasion the food has been luke wam.the staff are not overly friendly so all in all not a great place!!

the shop always looks messy never enough staff around and i dont even shop there-my partnet has been in there from time to time but more often than not is left really disapointed.staff are not overly helpful or friendly.would not go there again.

what a great way to spend a day. The old fashioned steam train right down the coast and when the weather is good you cant ask for a better way to spend the day! i def recommend this for any family

great fun
lots of fun on the seafront with great hotels, new crazy golf and fab bars! Even if your down there in the winter there is the cool cinema to catch a film at plus huge walks to walk the sunday roast off!
