Earthy 
Very much the earthy fashion shop located on the way down to the beach. Charmouth is renowned for its fossils and the fashion shop relates to that and the people it attracts. Very earthy, very unique and very high quality! Open for most of the year but closes in the depths of the winter!

Over 50 yrs old 
This has been here for over 50 yrs and has been through the mill in its time. About 30 yrs ago they had a lorry run away with no brakes and crash straight into it and demolish the shop, it has been rebuilt and still supplies the village with all its store products! Very fresh fruit and veg, the only minus is that you can pay a bit more for the fact that it has no competition!

Queen Mum
The main pub/hotel in the village right in the middle of the village. Very victorian in its look and very very well run! The meals are superb and can get very busy when the camp sites get full in the summer! The queen mum stayed here many yrs ago and they still live off the back of that today!!

Review of Royal Oak Inn

atmosphere
just up from the entrance to the playing fields, the royal oak is a very old pub with mainly the drinkers of the village coming in here! Its tucked away off the road so cant really be seen from the main thoroughfare but does have a very welcoming atmosphere when you get in!

Old haunts
the library is a god send for the people in this village, its half way up cahrmouth hill and has improved as the years go by! They have introduced computer facilities and the ref books have got more detailed lately! They do have a membership faciltity and my mum still visits it when we visit the old family haunts!!

Review of Stores Charmouth

Local produce
For a small village they still have a great fruit and veg shop, this veg shop carries much of its stock from local farmers and will sell all of its product pretty quickly each day. We go here over the weekends and tends to be sold out by lunchtime. Its so very busy in here from now until about Oct.

Review of Morgans Of Charmouth

Over 50 yrs old
Morgans has been morgans for as long as i can remember, i lived in charmouth from 0-7yrs old, it is fab ,sells sweets galore, toys for the fields, beach etc and anything you really would need, presents, papers, gifts and all that is newsagent! Morgans is very easy to get to, its on the high st not 600 yarsd from the beach and the same from the huge playing fields! Brilliant shop
