shop window 
a married couple who own the bookshop wrote two books themselves, the guy wrote chimp and the lady Zee. they have decided to have lots of very exciting books on display for the guys amongst us and at christmas they have a wonderful window display that people travel to see! A really lovely shop to visit!

Very cool
Very much the local sailing fashion shop what with the sailing habbit that lyme has now! the clothes in here are very high quality and very unique, i doubt you will find the same garment anywhere else! the cost is a little prohibitave but well worth a try on!! Only stays open full time during the tourist season and not open that often in the winter, mainly just open sat`s and sunday mornings!!

in house baking
a local baker to die for, they also supply a local deivery service which is so unique here! they bake all their own stuff including the gorgeous cakes! they also are happy for you to stand and watch the guys baking in the background which i love to do, then inevertably we buy some bread etc!! Great sales ploy guy`s!!

beach humour!
They sell SLUSH PUPPIES here, my kids just adore them from here as they only do one size, HUGE!! Thats cool with me as im a devil for one myself. The shop is just off the cobb so attracts all the toursists about to have a walk onto the beach plus on there way back home! They also have just the best choice of funny postcards here, even the old fashioned beach humour too!

Review of Lyme Regis Power Boat Club

Great ride
we have been lucky enough to have had a ride out in lyme bay on one of these power boats and wow, what a ride!!! They have meets quite often in the summer and put on great show`s for the grockles through the holiday period! They go out from the cobb and race around charmouth bay and back to lyme west beach!

I used to love this library years ago as it came is so handy when i was at school in lyme! Its half way up silver st, a very steep hill, quite a 60`2 building whic could now do with some refurbishment! the technology has been installed now and the ref section is still good for a small town! You dont have to be a member here whic i like about this library!

good quality
A very lovely jewellery shop that has branches all over the south west it seems. This shop is pretty small but does stock the right sort of jewellery for the town! Its a very earthy town so the costs here are pretty good, the main ingrediant is silver but there are some crystal and bead type pieces available! Very well made and privately owned company so the quality is good

What a great place
The cobb itself is one of the most lovely seaside features in the country, its where the french leughtenants woman was filmed with meryl streep, the cobb is beautiful and the pub is fantastic with it! Very fishing orientated, the fish is fab on the menu, the guys that drink here regularly are fantastic for the atmosphere and you can have a great singalong on Fri and sun eve`s!!

Brilliant value
this club is fantastic especially as it has had to keep moving its 16th,17th and 18th holes because of the cliff! They have lost the wholes and parts of the fairways because of landslips! The course is very picturesque and the clubhouse serves up a lovely meal afterwards! The club is very welcoming and costs only £20 per day, two rounds of golf! Great value!!

The real cotton trader style clothing company, this is a big sailing part of the world and this clothing shop fits right in here! The sweats are lovely and the cotton trousers etc are really good quality! the prices arnt cheap but then youd expect the quality to be there and it is! Individualism is def something you`ll get from this great shop!

great history from here
This is the heart of the jurrasic coast, its full of fossil opportunities if you know where to look, if your not keen on getting dirty looking then take a look in this shop, they have all there is to see as far as fossils are concerned. Its wonderful to see the history that has been unearthed right here in dorset from millions of years ago! You also have the opp` to buy gifts and treasures as a keep sake of this great little town! Well worth the visit!

just like the tv show
as the name suggests, this really is the spit and soredust pub just around the corner from the lobster pot restaraunt! The pub enjoys a darts and poole team that play in the bridport league but this is on a sunday! Nice feel about the pub but not for the younger generation

great reputation
this pub is just brill, right on the beach at lyme regis and has a great reputation locally. It used to be owned by the seargant family who lived locally and were very surfy. The pub has facility to eat outside looking out over the cobb and sells all the local ales!!

Mrs Hickman, the lady that runs this driving school must be about 120 years old by now! I sold this lady a car 20 yrs ago for her school and she must have been due to give up her license then!!!

old fashioned
this is one of my fav cinemas, going to woodroffe school in lyme meant that this was on my doorstep, loved the pantomimes and the films shown years ago, the building hasnt really changed so its kept much of its past glamour!
