great for breakfast
A great Saturday morning retreat to fuel up with a fry-up, or to pop in with family and friends grab a snack and watch the world go by on the side of the Thames.
The service is like you’d find in many similar establishments (friendly and fast), but the bonus being location.

Review of Lobster Pot Fish Bar

Simply the best!
Without a doubt this is the best chippy in Maidenhead.
The staff are friendly, the service is fast and above all the fish and chips are head and shoulders above the rest.
Not only do they take the skin of both sides of the fish before battering it (pedantic I know, but that’s how I like it), but they also serve the most amazing curry sauce and chips fried to perfection!
Oh, and they also sell pretty good Chinese food if that’s your vice :)

Top Venue
The refurbishment has made a HUGE improvement - An extra balcony to view the dance floor, more lighting and a fresh lick of paint. Looks like the best has just got better!

Review of The Bounty

Jewel on the Thames
Found along a tow path on the banks of the Thames, the Bounty is a pub with a difference. The only way to get there is by foot, bike or boat and when you arrive you’re faced with a bar which started life as a boat!
Admittedly, if you’re not up for the walk, cycle or don’t own a boat, then it’s far from ideal. But for those who are you’ll be greeted with friendly staff, great food, cold beer and if you time it right over the summer you’ll catch the legendary raft race along the Thames... What more could you ask for!
Fun for all the family and a great place to spend a boozy summers day :)

Review of Xscape Centre

Snow Zone
If you're new to snow sports it's a must and a huge improvement over dry ski slopes.
If however you’re advanced and going to dull the craving for snow I’d think twice, especially if you’re travelling a reasonable distance to get there.
Although their website said there would be a jump sectioned off, when we arrived there were none in sight, so if you’re going check first!
I love the concept of this place, but couldn’t help feeling disappointed when I left, hence the 2 stars.

Review of Shire Horse Inn

Old English Pub
A beautiful old restaurant and bar that has plenty of seating and a large beer garden.
You don’t get full table service as you order at the bar, but the food is lovely and the surroundings set a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
It’s a great place to take the family and friends alike.

Review of Lemon Tree
27 May 08, 19:32
Fancy a pint?
The Lemon Tree is a beautiful old traditional pub with good service, cold beer, decent food and a huge beer garden with heaters for those cold evenings.
The only downside is the height of the ceiling... if you’re over 5’ you’ll struggle to make it to the bar without scooping to avoid the wooden beams.
All in all a firm favourite and would definitely recommend a visit in the summer.

Review of Malik's

Best Curry in Cookham?
You'd be hard pushed to find a nicer curry house in or around Cookham.
The restaurant itself is a lovely old rustic building right on Cookham high street.
Once seated you'll find the servers jump to attention and see to your every need - it really is a curry house with a difference. You won't find your average beer guzzlers on route to the pub, but instead a fine dining experience.
Once the food arrives you won't be disappointed either as it really does stand head and shoulders above the rest.
All in all I would highly recommend Maliks, not just to feed a curry craving but for an all out dining experience.
