Best bike shop in town 
I'm a relative novice when it comes to cycling but am quickly getting into it. The first time i went into Action Bikes i was seriously impressed by the range & quality of product in the shop and the workshop next door, but I was intimidated becuase i'm not much of a bike-head.
However the staff are brilliant. They really know their stuff but they're not condescending or boring about bikes. They are willing to help with everything from pumping up your tyres (for free) or advising on upgrading your bike for your specific riding needs. I like it so much that I seem to spend twice as long in there as is neccessary just talking 'shop'.
Service like this needs to be championed and encouraged. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
