Probablly the worst club in London
Before I cite all the awful things about this club (is it really a club?) it's worth saying that they charge £3 for a rum & coke and even less for a glass of wine. I bought a round of drinks there last night and it cost £13 - that, in London, is amazing...or extremely worrying.
This club is shoehorned into the basement of a big old regency building just of the delightful Earl's Court Rd (otherwise known as the Yellow Brick Road due to the sea of urine that washes down it every Saturday night) The ambience is part crack-den chic and part construction site. This club isn't new yet it looks like it's half finished - part of the bar came off in my hand! The disco lighting consists of 4 dull, flashing strips of colour-screened light which are outshone by the emergency exit light in terms of design and brilliance. There is a VIP area which looks half decent but they don't let you in there just in case Harry/Wills ever fall from grace and need to whole up where no one would ever think to look for them.
The bar staff appear totally clueless. Having spotted a bottle of Cachaca sitting behind the bar I ordered a Caipirinha (reminds of the time i spent in Rio...la de da de da). Not only could the barmaid not make a Caipirinha but she wasn't even able to identify the bottle of Cachaca that I was pointing to just 3 feet away. What a genius. Instead I ordered 2 of the world's cheapest Rum & Cokes (£6 - it costs more to drink at home doesn't it?!) and headed off to the sticky dance floor as Men In Black came on for the 3rd time that night.
In my books this place gets a D - dull, dirty, dingy and definitely never going there again.
