Meat-o-licious 
Memorable steak in this small venue in Broadway market. Has an outdoor seating area if the inside if too hot or busy. Always popular so worth booking ahead.

Review of Action Bikes

Small but useful
Action bikes is probably the best choice for west-end commuters. They don't stock much outside the commuter fare, but the staff were excellent and I ended up buying more than I planned. Workshop looked reasonable so I might take my bike there rather than Cycle Surgery in Holborn just for convenience.

Review of W W T Wetland Centre

Wildfowl in the centre of London
Not too far out on a train, the Wetlands centre offers a window into the countryside. Good cafe and a nice shop, the themed captive areas are a touch odd, but the main hides are worth sitting in for a few hours and just watch birds fly by.

Nuts but fun
This place is a bit nuts. The decor is well documented (stuffed pugs in tiaras) but the food is also pretty good. Standard 'posh' french fare.
They also have a sister cocktail bar tucked away behind the restaurant which rustles up a good drink.
It's expensive but for a special event I'd recommend a visit to both the restaurant and bar.
