Great Carvery 
One of the better carvery restaurants out there, much better than your Toby Inn. Always a good choice on offer, and surprisingly for this type of a place, a reasonable size plate to stack your food up on!

Good cheap food
If you're in Touchwood shopping for the day, then this is a great place to go to eat. You can get a good pub meal for around £5, just get there fairly early if you can - I think the local pensioners may have discovered how much good value for money it is...

Great chippie!
It's my closest chippie and it also happens to be the best for miles. The chips are never greasy and the fish is always of a high quality. The only thing I can say against the place is that the portions can sometimes be too big!

A great curry house with a hint of style you wouldn't normally find at the local 'Indian'. Everything comes on fancy plates, but that hasn't been at the expense of the food quality. If you're lucky you'll even be able to get a parking space right outside the door!

Balti with a view...
One of the better Indian restaurants in the city centre, and definitely the one with the best views - ask to sit canal side if you can. The food is up to a high standard, and they don't try to blow your head off with the strength of their curries.

Great Pies!
If you love real ale, and can't resist a good old fashioned pie, then this place is a must. Set in an old bank, it's worth a visit just to admire the building. It's not all about pies though, the fish and chips was great too (no I didn't have both on the same visit).

One of the best...
...Italian restaurants I've been to outside of Italy (and I've been to many). Not cheap, but then the place was full last time I went with people queuing up to eat so they have obviously aren't over charging either.

Great Sunday Roast!
Over looking the Thames by Tower Bridge, this is a big pub/restaurant but it needs to be. Very busy but good service and excellent food, make sure yo check the specials board as I almost missed out on a great roast beef and all of the trimmings...

hidden gem...
At last, I've managed to find somewhere decent to eat in Coventry city centre! Hidden round the corner from Yate's, you can get good food at sensible prices, much better than any of the surrounding pubs. Can get a bit busy though, others seem to have also discovered this place...

Authentic Italian
Discovered this on a weekend trip to London. Amazed to find a free table on a Saturday night without booking in advance. Excellent choice on the menu, great food, and an authentic Italian restaurant atmosphere. If you're around Tower Bridge, and what a good night out with great food, definitely recommended.

Great location but watch out...
Set in a great location over looking Tower Bridge at the front, and St Katherines docks at the back, perfect for a couple of days site seeing. Not cheap though, cost me £180 for a night booking in advance through superbreak.com, and then, the receptionist upgraded my room without telling me and I had to pay an extra £50 for the privilege (did end up with a cracking room over looking Tower Bridge though)
