Nice and warm 
I've never eaten here, but always used to visit on the way home from The Duds - just to warm up if nothing else. They do a good variety of chicken dishes and extras like chips etc. Yum, esp when drunk!

Chinese or Indian?
I've only been here once - and that was because I want an Indian take away and my fiance wanted a Chinese - Top Wok is next door to our regular Indian so he went to one and I went to the other! His chinese did look really good - but I still prefer Taiwan on The Grove

Free pass
I only went here because I had a free pass and fancied a swim. It was a nice centre, although I felt a bit abandoned - I'd never been there before and the receptionist didn't really explain where I had to go etc..

Cosy
We had a lovely meal here recently, the service was good although the knowledge of the menu wasn't brilliant. Our coffees were cold, but they replaced them quickly.

Hot
I went here years ago to celebrate New Year, and the air-con broke, I've never been so hot! It got to the point where the bouncers were letting people go out through the emergency exit for 10 mins at a time just to get some air. I've not been there for years now, as its a bit to rowdy... it's fine during the day but def not if you're looking for a quiet drink over the weekend.

Nice views
Seeing as I live in B'mth, I don't really have much need for a hotel... However, I've been there a couple of times for functions and its not too bad. I went with a friend for a mini spa experience, it was very nice and relaxing - athough it was oddly next to the swimming pool so i did feel slightly on display. If you fancy a drink at the bar, the views across the sea are beautiful.

Usually ok
We go here quite often with my sister and family, as they are ok with 2 little boys running all about the place and watching the chefs cook. However, the last time we were booked in to eat there they were in the middle of a power cut. they didn't call us to let us know they were closed and when we did arrive they were very rude and short with us - even though they were all stood outside chatting! We went across the road to Zizzi's - who weren't having a power cut! - and had a lovely meal there instead

I haven't been to the Bournemouth ASK for a while, as we try to aim for more independent places and not chains, but this place is lovely. The food is good, the service isn't too bad, although you do feel as though they're just trying to get you moving so they can seat the next set of diners. Maybe a nicer place to go midweek when they're not so rushed?

Play area bonus
This McDonalds is as expected, except that it has a play area on the side, so that you can enjoy your extra value meal in peace whilst the kids run off their happy meals. It's never too busy, and you can always get a seat.

'We've given your table away'
Went there on a Wednesday evening, and we booked a table for 7.30. Arrived at 7.40 to be told that they'd given our table away... The girl was very snotty about it, as if to say she couldn't believe we were 10 minutes late. I'd given them my mobile number but they hadn't bothered to call. It wasn't even busy in the restaurant and we were given another table straight away, so I don't really know what the fuss was about. I think she realised at the end of the night she'd be quite rude when we arrived, but we weren't interested by then... will rethink going back there.

Strike!
Went there recently with a large group of friends and had a really good night. The staff were ok, except for the guy behind the bar who was far too happy, verging on odd. Lovely shoes as ever. Bowling is always more exciting that than I remember it to be!

Nice for lunch. Odd for Valentines!
Went there for lunch and it was nice. They were very patient with the 2 children we had with us, who just wanted to run around and around the table (until they were fed that was!) We got the Valentine menu (cos it's such a romantic name) but it wasn't very good so we didn't go. No vegetarian option...

I wouldn't choose to go there again!
I went there for a meal for a friends birthday and, although it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it was still full of staff who thought you should be enternally grateful to them for serving you. If you want to be seen to be seen, this is the place for you.

An ok pub on a busy road
I went there recently for drinks after work. It's certainly changed from when I was last there and the decor is quite nice now. We were quite large group but the catered for us well and didn't seem bothered that we took over a large area of the bar. It is located on quite a busy road so possibly not the best for outside eating.

this asda is always so busy, mostly with students! it's got a good range though, inc quite a large George section. There's a McDonalds and a pharmacy in the front entrance so it really is a one stop shop!

A standard Weatherspoons pub
The Night Jar in Ferndown is better than it used to be! When it first opened, the continuous offer of cut-priced drinks meant it was locally renamed 'The Fight Jar'. However it's all calmed down now and you're more likely to find OAP's enjoying the 2-4-1 meals than drunk teenagers!! The menu is good, big variety, and not too expensive.

Good shops, busy car park, lack of places to eat!
The only reason I chose to shop at Castlepoint is because of the free parking! The choice of shops is good, although the actual layout is a bit odd as if you want to shop at Argos and Sainsburys its a bit of a walk from one side to the other. Parking is always busy, although the top layer gets busier than the bottom one. And there isn't much choice for food. Frankie and Bennys and Nandos are on site but if you want a quick sandwich you're limited in options.

Fast service - a bit too fast?
Always heaving, this restaurant does lovely food that's with you within a breath of you ordering it! However, sometimes its a bit too fast! It's great if you're starting your evening with a meal, but if you're hoping to take your time over a meal this may not be the place for you! Good value for money though
