Imagine 
The main feature of this airport is the statue of John Lennon - 'above us only sky'. Good transport links with the city, which is only about half an hour away on the bus.

Tequila! 
I love this place: tucked away in a terrace between the Phil and the Everyman it's great for a bit of pre or post show Mexican and they do some good lunchtime deals as well.

Ideal
Since they decided to close Newport and Pilton post offices in Barnstaple so they could force you to queue out the door in the rain this is worth knowing about: a short car ride, and a lot less of a wait. It's a bit of an open all hours general store as well...

You've been framed!
You've seen the picture, now buy the postcard! It's almost too easy to get carried away in here, and although the merchandise is a nice reminder of your visit it's never going to be as good as the real thing.

Pretty as a picture! 
It must be a huge honour to find yourself in here! I love the way that you get all of the history but keep it up to date with modern portraits of contemporary figures too.

Back on the train gang
If you can negotiate the taxi rank and bus station outside without getting mown down by the traffic you're home and dry. Don't arrive with too long to wait as there's not much seating.

As it's right on the doorstep of the bus and rail stations you always get thousands of people milling around looking lost and wondering which line to get on: it's not difficult! Get a map!
