The best bit is the view of the river from the cafe: apart from that it's just floor after floor of department store misery. How do you get 456000 pensioners in one place? Debenhams in Taunton.

My first time... 
This was my introduction to the whole Starbucks experience and to be honest with you it wasn't bad. But that's Starbucks for you. And because it's Starbucks it wasn't all the great either. There are more interesting places to go, and as this one's often quite full (it is very small) they may be worth seeking out...

Tale of two Cities
I love the building that this Waterstone's is in: the downstairs is a bit of a rabbit warren and you can easily get lost, then upstairs it's just cavernous. Go for the deals rather than the selection/choice.

I'd have to disagree with Adrian M. The last time I was here there's no way it's on the edge of Taunton, it was slap bang right in the middle! Make sure you've got a plan B in case they're out of parking spaces.

I've seen some fantastic games here over the years. It may not be the biggest ground on the circuit but it's all the better for it: you feel like you're actually in the game!
