Just a big kid... 
I'm sure someone told me that this is the biggest toy shop in the world or something, but it's also one of the busiest and certainly one of the most expensive! The window displays are always fun, and in some ways it's possibly more of a tourist attraction than an actual shop...

Mind the gap...
...as you get carried along by the crowds of people desperate to get to where they want to go. The sensible advice would be to only go there when it's quiet, but of course it isn't. It wouldn't be Oxford Circus if it was!

Take a map
The trouble with Picadilly Circus is that it's like Picadilly Circus in there! Make sure you know where you're heading on the way out or I guarantee you'll end up on the wrong side of the road staring at where you want to be!

Easy like Sunday morning 
When you're wandering around lost on a Sunday morning this place opens hours before the shop, so it's a great place to gather your thoughts. Love the coffee, hot and strong!

Cinema as it should be 
It's the cinema for people who love films! You get some classics, you get some of those Rocky Horror,Sound of Music type events, and you get cheap tickets! Popular/busy but deservedly so!

Watered down...
I know it's the flagship store, but it's still just another Waterstones. You've got more room to move than in their other bookshops, but not really that much more to see... They could do a lot with the space but it doesn't really seem that they want to stock anything that you can't already get somewhere else...

Lose yourself
Foyles is spread over five floors so it can be difficult to find what you're looking for, but sometimes I think that's the point! You can spend forever browsing and it's nice to come out with something totally unexpected!

One of London's historic pubs
And you're not having to pay too much for your pint either which is a great relief in this particular part of town. Lots of nooks and crannies inside where you should be able to hide from all the hustle and bustle.
