Review of VUE

Better than most... 3*

The cinema itself was pretty good, short ticket ques and pre-movie in screen service trolley. Car park in and around cinema is an absolute nightmare if everyone is trying to get out at the same time.

Review of Bounds Green Station

Tube stop 3*

It's a tube station; if you part with your money you'll be allowed access to the so called transport system known as the underground. Zone 3. Only has access to the Picadilly line.

Review of Hare & Hounds

Wish it could be Sunday everyday!! 3*

Not a pub for everyday but great for Sunday Roast!! The food comes on those extra large roast dishes so portions are anything but small. The food is fresh, often there is the option of Game Pie. This varies in content from duck to dear and even has the odd bit of shot in to prove it really was caught in the week!. The home cooked veg and roasts leave other pubs in the area struggling to meet the standard. All this for about £8 is a bargain. Only problem is Sunday only comes once a week.

Review of Red Lion

Not the best in the village 3*

Est Bergholt has a few pubs to choose from. I wouldn't make the Red Lion my first choice but it does have the sport on. The food is good, the menu is good old fashioned country bumbkin food. The laes are Green King based and has a couple of pot bellied locals as part of the fixtures and fittings.

Review of Bella Italia

Great service 3*

The food in Bella Italia is the same across the chain - pizzas and pasta. This particular branch has something lacking in most - fantastic service. The food was served quickly, the waiter helpful and offered good advice. If stuck for places to eat in bournemouth you could do worse!!

Review of Jewel Bar

Priced to impress 3*

If you want to take a date to a place where you can show off you money this is the bar. Drinks are well over the odds but well presented cocktails are bound to impress. The atmosphere is what you would expect of an overpriced bar. Worth a visit for a special night but a bit over the top for the norm.

Review of The Chandos

Beer on the cheap 3*

As a Sammy Smiths you get what you expect... cheap beer with a simple, if not classic english pub, decor and atmosphere. The added benefit it t's surroundings. Not a place to spend an evening it is a great starting point to have a couple of drinks before frequenting the more expensive trendier locations in Covent Garden and Soho. A great location for a lunchtime beer or two. Downstairs is dark and private with lots of booths. Upstairs is the nicer decor with comfy seats and a bar menu that is very generous in portions. Worth a visit if you want to pay £2 for a pint rather than the £4 average for the area.

Review of TGF Pizza

Good for cheap dirty Pizza 3*

If you're on the back end of a boozy night or need some dirty fast food to recover the day after TGF is your solution. Their Pizzas are big, cheap and perfect for either occasion. However, if you are after a quiet night in and want quality Pizza I would avoid. They are often covered in oil and too much salt. Delivery can take an hour but they are cheap and right next to the tube station. As a regular post tube patron I can recommend a 7" plus can of drink for £1.99!

Last minute flowers... 3*

Like most guys I left mothers day flowers to the day before. Not really knowing what I wanted the florists were really helpful and managed to create a great bouquet guaranteed to impress. However this wasn't without slightly above average cost. Probably not the most competitive but great for getting last minute flowers for any reason.... no doubt I'll visit again!
