Review of Parveen Tandoori Restaurant
27 Jul 07, 08:48
My favourite Indian restaurant
The Parveen was one of the first restaurants to open in the Angel, and to this day is still going strong. The food isn't cheap, but is consistently brilliant. There are now loads of other Inidan restaurants in the area but none are as good as the Parveen.

Review of Angel Flowers
23 May 07, 23:21
Beautiful Little Flowershop
I've never really been one for flowers. I've bought them for other people on special occasions, but never really for myself. I popped into Angel Flowers just last week and bought a bouquet for myself and it brightened up my bedroom completely. The flowers had been well treated so they lasted a lot longer than I would have expected, and the range Angel Flowers had on offer was staggering. I think I'll end up a developing a bit of a habit.

Review of Flavours
22 May 07, 21:44
Gorgeous Cafe/Deli
Flavours is possibly my favourite place in this area. It's a small cafe that sells delicious cakes and savoury treats like feta and spinach flatbread, as well as a range of teas and coffees. The staff are incredibly friendly and there is a real local feel. Perfect place to stop by at for a long coffee and a read of the paper. Well worth the detour off the main road.

Review of Cafe Kick
22 May 07, 21:40
Atmospheric European bar
Cafe Kick is located bang in the centre of Exmouth market, a semi-pedestrianised street of bars and restaurants that lies somewhere between Angel and Holborn. Cafe Kick, like the rest of the street, has a European feel. The walls are covered with memoribilia, the bar is crammed with a million different bottles and the foosball tables add a unique touch (although at £2 a pop the prices are definitely more London than European). The cocktails are great. A really fun bar to spend the evening in. And if you're even vaguely sa competitive as me you'll be glued to the foosball table all night.

Review of 93 Feet East
21 May 07, 22:44
Posers and dancing in Brick Lane
93 feet east is a bar/club in trendy Brick Lane. The venue is great, with a dedicated bar room, dance room and a chill out room. 93 feet east attracts big name DJs in dance music, and whenever I've been the theme has always been house music. The clientele is a mix of cool young professionals letting their hair down and try hard 20somethings with mullets. 93 feet east is half cool and half Nathan Barley.

Review of Borders Books
21 May 07, 13:22
Good book shop
Borders is a very large book shop that also has a decent CD and DVD section as well as a Starbuck's cafe. There is a wide range of magazines on sale too, so if you're looking for a speciality mag Borders is a good place to look.

Review of Bullet Bar
19 May 07, 23:52
Average bar
Bullet is a distinctly average bar that tries to be cool, but in my opinion fails. I've only been once, so I can't speak for the music in general, but the night I was there the DJ was playing very boring RnB. The clientele are a bit tacky and the decor pretty much matches the clientele. There's nothing wrong with Bullet as such, it's just not my kind of place.

Review of Blacks Outdoor Leisure

Outdoors shop
Blacks sells high quality outdoor gear - from tents to hiking boots to waterproofs. A good place to stock up if you're heading off on a camping trip.

Review of Burger King
19 May 07, 14:38
Burger restaurant
Burger King is, as I'm sure you know, a large chain of burger places. I'd recommend this Burger King for it's toilet facilities - it's the perfect place to nip into to use the toilet, as it's in the middle of Angel and just opposite the tube station.

Review of Aria
18 May 07, 23:58
Contemporary homeware
Aria is a very fashionable shop selling things for your home - from corkscrews to espresso cups to chairs. The designs are very modern and different, and popular brands such as Alessi are available. However, Aria is incredibly expenive, and you'll probably only be able to afford it if you're decking out your million pound home.
