It's Great...while it lasts ! 
The Pilgrims Progress is a spacious and comfortable pub offering a massive range of beverage refreshment and an extensive restaurant menu.
Although it is only the usual 'pub grub' it is cooked and presented to a very high standard.
As befits a JD Weatherspoons Pub - the prices are a true reflection on what drinks and food should cost in a pub.
Sadly this establishment is under threat from closure anytime soon....developers have purchased the site - so get in there while you can.

They don't just sell Mountain Bikes ! 
They are billed as the place where motorists should head for when they have a problem part.
They stock a wide range of car parts for the DIY mechanic and a good range of in-car entertainment systems......oh year they do mountain bikes too, in fact a huge range of cycle spares and equipment.
The down side...the staff are very sparse, and the one on the shop floor try their hardest to be invisible and are not very helpful.

Just excellent. 
If you need one of those clip things, or a hose that is a certain shape...or indeed any part for any car....then Billy's the kid.
You will be greeted with a well stocked shop which no only offers the parts you need for your motor but also has plenty of gizmos to add more zing to your car....if that is what you are into !
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and as for value for money....they have got it spot on !

Is it in the Brochure...???
It's an agent that sorts out travel - nuff said!
However, with the shop being right by Sainsburys in Kenpston, you cat' help but have a look at the offers - even if you know a: you can't afford a holiday at the moment and b: you don't have any time to take a holiday.
They always make a good effort with their window, which shows how much attention to detail they will take of your holiday. Very pleasant staff...even when faced with the holiday maker from hell !!

Yeah...it's a gym....and...? 
There are many good reasons for joining a gym, and there are many good gym's to join.
I found this particular facility had no atmosphere, and was unwelcoming. The staff had a don't really care attitude, and as a result of these things, I did not join....I noticed all the above on my first "look around" visit!!
Having since heard all the bad publicity about the way you can't cancel your membership or get any money back that you are owed...STEER WELL CLEAR is my advice!

Water great team !
If you are into a bit of DIY plumbing or are the professional who then fixes all the DIY disasters, this is the place to get all your gear.
Being a Plumbers Merchant you would expect them to have all you need...and they do, but they are alway available to offer advice too if you are a bit unsure of stuff.

Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken....
Southern Fried Chicken as only Colonel Sanders can cook it....well not him personally you understand..
KFC in Kempston is a great outlet for this fowl fest. Not only can you park right outside the door, but the team are a great laugh and are really on the ball when it comes to fast food.
Always fresh, always tasty, always worth a visit!

Review of Freds Fish Shop

A Chip Off The Old Block.
If you are a regular at the Peacock Auctions on a Saturday, then you will already know about Fred's.
If not...you are missing a treat. The chips are always crisp, golden and steaming hot. The fish is expertly cooked and there are the usual pies, and sausages etc to chose from.
The staff are a real great laugh and make you feel welcome whenever you visit.

O M G !!!!
Chocolate heaven is in the Harpur Centre.
Fudge, Toffee, Soft Centres, you name it they have it.
Personally I love the liquorice toffee, it is to die for, but in all honesty anything from Thorntons is special.
If it is a special occasion then the friendly staff will wrap you gift for you too.

You just have to go here as soon as you have finished reading this.....
Take your sweet tooth to sugar heaven and sample some of the out of this world sweets available at The Bala Sweet Centre.
There is a massive choice and if you can't decide you can have a nibble of what you fancy before you buy....and buy you will.
