Fabulous evening..... 
It has been a while since we had a Greek Restaurant in Bedford, so it was great news when Yiamas opened.
..And boy did they open in style. Words can't do enough justice to the experience of a really great night out here, you must try it for yourself.
Great traditional well cooked delicious food, superb entertainment and really nice staff.

Just excellent.
If you need one of those clip things, or a hose that is a certain shape...or indeed any part for any car....then Billy's the kid.
You will be greeted with a well stocked shop which no only offers the parts you need for your motor but also has plenty of gizmos to add more zing to your car....if that is what you are into !
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and as for value for money....they have got it spot on !

You just have to go here as soon as you have finished reading this.....
Take your sweet tooth to sugar heaven and sample some of the out of this world sweets available at The Bala Sweet Centre.
There is a massive choice and if you can't decide you can have a nibble of what you fancy before you buy....and buy you will.

Sympathetic and helpful.
We all have to consider that final act when we are called to go to the great upstairs.
Arnolds offer a very sincere and sympathetic service and fully understand the trauma your loved ones will be going through. They know exactly what is needed, where and when, and are hugely sensitive to any request you may make.
The Chapel of Rest is beautifully peaceful and leaves you satisfied that your loved one is in good hands.

You can play it if you really want to !
Ever fancied taking up an instrument?
You know you look good in the mirror singing into a hairbrush but what about going for the real thing.
Team Music have a great range of top quality instruments and will advise you on what is best for you. All musical accessories including sheet music is available and the staff really do take an interest in you and what you want to achieve.

Pure quality, and then some.
A really nice Indian restaurant, which to be fair offers the usual mix of delicious dishes.
However there is something about the atmosphere at Blue Ginger that makes the experience so very nice.
the staff are ultra efficient, friendly and accommodating and the food...well is to die for !
Sample the delights of Blue Ginger once....and it won't be the last time !

This is Bedfordshire's premier radio station, a station that is powered by the bes mix of great music.
Entertaining, informative and a great laugh, there is nothing more you could ask for from the team at Chiltern Radio.
Once home to the breakfast show presented by the world famous hypnotist Paul McKenna, who, on his trips back to the area listens and drops in for a chat.

Even Murray Walker would love this place !
Feel the need for speed......wanna be a Lewis Hamilton? then get a group of buddies and get yourself along to Daytona for some high speed racing action.
A really professional outfit this with all the safety gear required, including a classroom session on all things safety before you even reach trackside.
this is Go-Karting at its best and is just the business.
Book a group session and make it more competitive, with the eventual winner blagging some fizzy wine on the podium.

Bedford's Best?
It has long been said that this is the best chippie in Bedford.....me think's this is true.
They have been around since time in memorial and they certainly know how to cook a mean meal.
A large selection of fresh fish is always available, as well as all the other items you expect to find in any chip shop.
You can't beat their chips ( sorry Mum ) but they are the biz, a drop of salt and vinegar and away you go.

Toy heaven...
...And there's 5 floors of it !!!!
A trip to London should include a trip to Hamleys, no matter how old you are.
the sheer size of the store, and the array of all sorts of toys, games, art materials, toy soldiers, train sets and teddy bears, to name a few, is just mind boggling.
the various displays by the staff of some new gadget are great fun and each time I visit....yep...I have to buy a little something.
It's on Regent Street, if you are exploring the West End you will no doubt walk past it....don't stop and be a kid all over again!

Just brilliant !
A small unobtrusive shop that sits at the gateway to Bedford town, just over the town bridge.
But don't let it's facade deter you, for the store has an absolutely superb range of publications. Bibliophiles will think they are in heaven....there are books on all subjects and there if an area of focus spotlighting Bedfordshire so if you really want to get to know your manor....this is the place to start your research!

Know which side your bread is buttered!
This has to be the best bakery for miles around.
Once you have succumbed to the gorgeous aroma of freshly cooked bread and cakes you will be back time after time.
Filled rolls, with your choice of filling, hot savouries, like sausage rolls and Cornish pasties...the list is endless. A real local bakery with staff that are up for a laugh and who know what good service means.
they open early too....from 5:30am, now there is dedication !!!

You will be surprised !
It may not be the sort of thing you would usually consider visiting, but it is on your doorstep, and is a relaxing way to spend a morning or afternoon.
There are some superb pieces that you can enjoy even if you are not into art.
Just behind the the old keep mound on the embankment, enjoy a few quiet hours and chill.

It's a great venue....
A good night out in Bedford doesn't just have to be a drink on one of the top pubs or a meal at one of the restaurants.
Many people don't realise that there is a top billing of entertainment at the corn exchange from comedy to classical music featuring some of the countries top comedians and musical artists.
Don't ignore the place it is a great venue!

Make a difference.....
The Cats Protection League rescue moggys from abandonment, cruelty and other unsavoury circumstances.
If you can offer a cat a home then your help is always welcome. In fact our own cat was a rescue cat and the help and assistance that was offered by the CPL was outstanding.
They are a registered charity, not a business so any money they make goes straight back in to providing care.

They are the Cat's Whiskers !!
We all love our pets, and we wouldn't want to think of them suffering when we decide to go on holiday would we?
If you own a moggy, then Sealawn is just the best place to put them.
Set in a village location, Clophill, the grounds are just fantastic. the majority of the accommodation has a view of the lake....yeah really a lake...and are spotlessly clean.
The staff are as sweet on all the animals as any owner is, and you can rest assured that their welfare of your pet is the first consideration.
Make sure you book early as word is getting out on how excellent this cattery is.
Go and take a look before you book, you will be very welcome!

A Diamond Geezer !
..Well not just diamonds but gold, silver and all the other items you would expect to find in a quality jewelers like this. I have invested in some really fine items for all sorts of occasions and never have I or the recipient been disappointed with the quality of product. The staff take an interest in what you want and work out exactly what you are looking for, they have some sound advice and will always be honest with their opinion - yes a business that won't just sell you something for the sake of it....they really care. Fellas if you want to spoil the missus, make a beeline to John Medhurst!

It is the weekly ritual of many a household....ours included. When we fancy a Chinese take away we only ever reach for the menu from the Sunflower in Kempston.
As well as all the usual items you would expect they will accommodate any other little requests you may have to make sure you enjoy your meal.
A fast delivery service, with really well cooked food make this our family favourite!

Another jewell in Woburns crown
Set just back from the may through road of the Village of Woburn, fronted by a cobbled pathway, you find Galloways. Exquisite food in an absolutely superb atmosphere with such attentive friendly service, you don't want to leave at the end of the evening. If you are partial to a little golf memorabilia then this has to be on your list of places to book, it being just a decent tee shot from the famous Woburn Golf Course, what other theme would you expect. How many times have I eaten here....FORE - obviously !!!

It is the most popular room in the house, and if you have ever had a party it is the room where for some unknown reason everybody ends up in. So why not make it a talking point itself, and treat your house to a kitchen make over, and Loline are the people to talk to. A member of my family has recently had a new custom built kitchen from Loline. It is soooooooo nice I keep visiting, if only to get into the kitchen!

True Blues.....
It maybe a game played by blokes with odd shaped balls but this is the home of the MIGHTY BEDFORD BLUES! You are guaranteed a storming day out at any home match of the Blues. Not only do we have a fabulous team who really play the game with every ounce of passion that they have but the supporters equall their commitment 100 fold! Take a place near the action at either end of the ground, or a seat in the Charles Wells stand or if you really want to make a day of it treat your self to some pre-match hospitality with a fine three course meal in the Marquee, and excellent viewing of the game on the raised platform in the ground. The Scrum Bar has its own unique atmosphere and is a must to visit on any match day.

I need a thingy...Have you got one?
Have you ever thought to myself, I need just one of those thingy's...and never been able to find one, let alone just buying one instead of a pack of 5....4 of which will never be used again. then the answer is Sam's Homecare in Kempston. A hardware shop that has everything from tap washers to weed killer, and Christmas fairy lights to plumbing equipment....you can always find what you want in Sams!

An Espresso...and easy on the gags...Please !
A trip into the shopping area of Bedford Town center is not complete until you have re-fueled at La Piazza. Situated on the Market Square, a stones throw from the banks of the river Ouse, you can indulge in a host of refreshments to take the edge off your hunger. Oh and you simply must try an Espresso - Just the business. Sit down and watch the world go by, or take away your refreshments to enjoy on them move - the choice is yours - although popularity may limit the number of seats available !! Your host - Libby - has to be one of the most engaging and funny characters of Bedford town, so if you need to top up the energy tanks, and walk away with a grin on your face, you know where to go!
