Review of La Piazza

An Espresso...and easy on the gags...Please !
A trip into the shopping area of Bedford Town center is not complete until you have re-fueled at La Piazza. Situated on the Market Square, a stones throw from the banks of the river Ouse, you can indulge in a host of refreshments to take the edge off your hunger. Oh and you simply must try an Espresso - Just the business. Sit down and watch the world go by, or take away your refreshments to enjoy on them move - the choice is yours - although popularity may limit the number of seats available !! Your host - Libby - has to be one of the most engaging and funny characters of Bedford town, so if you need to top up the energy tanks, and walk away with a grin on your face, you know where to go!

Good Food, good experience
Tootsies do a great burger. The interior is spacious, but still feels intimate. It's not cheap and cheerful, but it's a welcome experience and a great place to take someone without it feeling like a romantic dinner for two. There's a bar for you to sit at, so if you get stood up, you can still get hammered and the bar tender might take pity on you and give youa few free drinks If the date goes well, you can follow it up witha drink at the hotel bar in malmaison which is plush but not outrageous

Review of Loch Fyne Restaurants
14 Apr 08, 19:09
That's a bit Fishy !
Seafood lovers, and those people who love great attentive service should make a bee line for Loch Fyne restaurant in Woburn. Easily accessible ( with parking available right outside on the Market Square) the interior is welcoming and comfortable with a menu to die for. The Oysters are stunningly fresh and taste divine and the accompanying main courses are prepared to very high standards. To make sure your meal is complimented in the right way, the wine list is peppered with a great selection of fine wines - DEEEELICIOUS!

I need a thingy...Have you got one?
Have you ever thought to myself, I need just one of those thingy's...and never been able to find one, let alone just buying one instead of a pack of 5....4 of which will never be used again. then the answer is Sam's Homecare in Kempston. A hardware shop that has everything from tap washers to weed killer, and Christmas fairy lights to plumbing equipment....you can always find what you want in Sams!

Review of Mowsbury Golf Course
16 Apr 08, 10:18
Not just a golf course!!
Don't just think you need a set of 'sticks' to indulge in a visit to the Mowsbury Golf and Squash complex. The clue is in the title...you can play squash there too. Both facitities are top quality, well maintained and are competitively priced. After shedding the pounds with all that exercise, pile it back on in the Bar...after all that is what is important about exercise....the socialising !!

Review of King Edward Cars

A Right Royal Service!
All makes and models are lovingly repaired and serviced in this well established business. There are so many garages to choose from - why would you go to this one - Simply because Richard and his team really do think of the customer and look after you. Not only in providing courtesey vehicles when available but also in the very competitive pricing structure for all the elements that go into keeping your vehicle on the road. And if you are in the market for a change in what you drive - the used car selection is impressive. All in all you are treated like royalty at King Edward Cars!

Review of A To B Cars

A taxi...that is always on time !
You know how it is, you order a taxi for 7:45 and at 8:30 you are calling their office to ask where it is.... Not with A to B taxis. You order a taxi for a particular time and they will be knocking on your door either slightly earlier than booked or bang on time. I have never experienced a service like it. the drivers are polite and friendly, the cars are spotless and comfortable and their knowledge of their patch is first class.

Review of Saffron

The Spice Of Life
We all love a good indian meal, but how often do you find that all the spices fight each other in the dish you have chosen and as a result you loose the opportunity to sample all the flavours that create the experience of the dish. At Saffron on Tavistock Street this is simply not the case. Each dish is created with such professionalism that each and every ingredient is identifiable. You can taste each spice as it compliments the main ingredient in your meal. Really friendly service and a great place to meet up and chill with your friends !

True Blues.....
It maybe a game played by blokes with odd shaped balls but this is the home of the MIGHTY BEDFORD BLUES! You are guaranteed a storming day out at any home match of the Blues. Not only do we have a fabulous team who really play the game with every ounce of passion that they have but the supporters equall their commitment 100 fold! Take a place near the action at either end of the ground, or a seat in the Charles Wells stand or if you really want to make a day of it treat your self to some pre-match hospitality with a fine three course meal in the Marquee, and excellent viewing of the game on the raised platform in the ground. The Scrum Bar has its own unique atmosphere and is a must to visit on any match day.
