Recently attended a wine tasting evening at the Pear Treet at Purton.

A fantastic venue in a beautiful setting. The owner and host for the evening, Francis was very helpful and friendly.

The food was gorgeous.

shop til you drop

Next have recently finished refurbishments to the Oribital Centre branch. It's not too different to how it was originally to be honest - the floor layout seems the same.

I do always love visiting Next - you can guarantee you'll pick up something from your visit.

Staff are always friendly.

I love the sales - you really can pick up some great bargains.

Review of The Kingscote Barn

Heavenly venue

Recently attended a wedding at Kingscote Barn - and although finding the place was somewhat of a nightmare - the venue was stunning. The surrounding scenery was idyllic.

The inside of the venue was beautiful and very romantic. The wedding ceremony itself took place at Kingscote Barn as well as the meal and evening reception. The staff made sure there were no hiccups.

Definately worth a visit.

Review of Toys 'R' Us

Such a big kid

I never get bored visiting Toys R Us. Any excuse. I recently made a visit to purchase the recent Wii game Mario Kart. Although I was lucky enough to pick up the game as most of the shops in town had sold out, they had run out of the steering wheels.

The staff were really helpful, took my details and called when they received the next delivery. Because of the delay they kindly gave us two.

Can't wait to pick up the Wii Fit game.

Review of Steam Railway

Went to the Steam Railway for a bite of mid-week lunch with some work colleagues and the food wasn't bad at all.

The staff were really friendly and helpful.

There was a good menu to choose from, Very reasonable prices.

We've since held a couple of staff functions in the front room of the pub - great evenings. Again, the staff were very helpful.

Review of Majestic Wine Warehouses

Bottoms up

What a great experience shopping at Majestic. Easy parking right on the doorstep. Extremely friendly staff eager to help you as soon as you enter the store - if you don't know exactly what you are looking for they will point you in the right direction. There is even winetasting available!!

Review of Leadership Martial Arts

AAAA YYYYAAAAH

My two kiddies and hubby joined Leadership Martial Arts 18 months ago and they haven't looked back. The classes are fantastic fun - great exercise and confidence building too. There are various options of classes to attend - with classes held in Calne, Lyneham, Haydon Wick, Swindon so there is no excuses for missing a class. There are even ladies only classes available.

The grading process is very clear and the graduation ceremonies are something else! Can't wait for the Black Belt Dinner ....

Review of Toby Carvery The Friary

As much as you can eat

Popped into the Toby Carvery for sunday lunch the other week - what an experience. Although we had to wait 30 minutes for a table it was well worth the wait. We opted for the Sunday lunch carvery experience.... We piled our plates high we a section of meats and veg - we were able to return for as much veg as we liked. The price was great too. Would definately recommend a visit.

Best fish and chip take-away in Swindon - in my opinion. Great selection of dishes available. Brilliant kiddy meal boxes on offer. Great prices too. Ten out of Ten. Very friendly staff.
