Review of Incanto

Restaurant and Deli 4*

Incanto is a southern Italian restaurant and deli located on the high street in Harrow on the Hill. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, while the deli offers freshly made sandwiches, cakes/biscuits and a range of cheeses, meats and traditional Italian foods. The service is excellent, the food is of a very high standard (the restuarant has been awarded an AA rosette), with a lots of choice. The only downside would be that in the portions are small so be sure to order side dishes with your main meal.

Review of Matfen Hall

Marriages and Golf 5*

I'm probably biased, as I got married here, but Matfen Hall is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, with all the comforts you need. The hotel is also equipped with a top notch golf course and a supurb (AA rosette) restuarant. Not cheap, with rooms starting at £110 per night, but well worth the expense.

Review of Shabab

Best Curry Ever! 5*

No exaggeration, this is without doubt the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Amazing food and friendly staff. Be warned though, dishes tend to be spicier than there equivalents in other Indian restaurants.

Car and Van Hire 3*

I've hired cars and vans from this place several times. Service has always been fine. Its about 5 minutes walk from Caledonian Road tube so pretty easy to get too.

Chilling by the Canal 4*

Make sure you stop and have a drink in this bar if you happen to go for a wander down the canal between Angel and Hackney. It's split over 2 floors with great views over the canal - making it the perfect place to have a rest and watch the world go by. They also serve very decent food, although the menu is relatively limited.

One warning, it can get pretty packed during weekends in the summer so you may not get a seat straightaway.

Review of The Islington Tup

Football and Food 4*

I used to watch football here all the time, and, unless Arsenal or England or playing, it has a good atmosphere without getting packed. The food is also decent, making it the perfect solution if your girlfriends birthday happens to coincide with a big match. FYI, it's not called the Islington Tap.

Review of N1 Dental Surgery

23 Jun 07, 22:18

Essex Road Dentist 3*

Signed up to this Dental Surgery when I moved to London. They do both NHS and private, and for some reason that I still can't work out I opted for private.

All the staff are really friendly, and (although I'm not exactly an expert) the dentistry was very good. My only negative comment is that it isn't ultra modern in the waiting room area - and as I was paying private prices I would of liked something a bit more "luxurious".

Like most dentists its difficult to get appointments at popular times (before 10/after 4).

Review of La Cucina

Good Italian Food 4*

I find that most restaurants around Farringdon tend to be quite dissapointing, so I wasnt expecting much when I visited La Cucina for the first time. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Loads of choice (even for vegetarians like me) and a very relaxed atmosphere immediatley cemented this place as a favourite of mine whenever we go for a bite to eat after work.

Review of Launderette

Service Wash 4*

When my washing machine was broken I used this place. The service washes are cheap, and always clean and ready to collect for the agreed pick up time.

The ladies working in there are very helpful and friendly. Once I was 30p short when I turned up to pay, but they gave me my laundry anyway.

Review of The Bombay Bicycle Club

Good...for a takeaway 3*

As far as Indian Takeaways go, this one is good. The food is of a very good standard. They also have an online ordering service, which is helpful if you have a geordie accent like mine. Delivery time can be a bit variable, and on a couple of occassions the food hasnt been as warm as it might have been.
