Review of Snobs

Great for Students and Indie Lovers
Located in the Heart of Birmingham within walking distance of Broad Street and The Mailbox, Snobs is a great place for Students and Rock/Indie Music Lovers. There are two rooms with rock anthems in the main room and more soul and older anthems in the smaller room. Cheap £1 bottle promotions and Wednesdays is a great night for a midweek night out.

Review of Square Peg

Square Peg
Located at the top of Corporation Street this is a good pub for meeting friends or a drink after work but does get busier in the evenings. Also quite an older crowd but not too noisy and generally a good atmosphere.

Review of The Birmingham Academy

Carling Academy Birmingham
A reasonably sized venue for quite big name and up and coming acts yet to fill out stadiums. It's located fairly close to New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill Stations. Tickets do get sold fairly quickly and the place gets packed but it's definetly somehwhere to check out to see your favourite group before they make it too big !

Review of Oceana Nightclub
11 Apr 08, 16:12
Oceana, Birmingham
A Modern refurbishment to a club that has seen many changes over the years. Not far from New Street Station and the Arcadian, Oceana like it's counterparts across the country has rooms for everyone, from Cheesy Pop, to Upfront Dance and varying styles in between. Definetly worth a look if you are with a large group of people and can't decide on one place to go.

Review of Yard Of Ale

Yard of Ale
Just on New Street this is pub you might normally miss if you are shopping or heading to other more common places in Birmingham for a night out. It's a small pub but with friendly staff and is more of a local feel than some of the chain pubs. It seems to be the place where people will stop off rather than a place to end up but still good and a bit of a hidden gem.

Review of The Works
11 Apr 08, 16:17
Works Birmingham
A large nightclub, situated at the far end of Broad Street. A good mix of music and lots of people but it does suffer from being at the end of Broad Street where many bars are now closed so it may be a little further to get to, or may not be your first choice if you are heading elsewhere in the city.

Review of Indi Bar & Lounge
11 Apr 08, 16:22
Indi Bar
A cool and trendy bar in Birmingham's bustling Arcadian Centre. Great for summer afternoons. The drinks can be a little pricey and the place gets very noisy and busy at the weekends but a good place to be seen and hang out with friends.

Review of Bar Academy

Bar Academy
Next to the main Carling Academy this is a much smaller venue to it's neighbour but has some good local bands and emerging national talent. If you want to see some good live music in the city then it's worth looking at.

Review of Nightingale Club

Good for TV Talent Contestants
Just to add to the previous review that you do tend to get some of the new talent from TV Shows such as Pop Idol and X-Factor appearing as well as other guest apperances at the weekend

Review of The Medicine Bar

Medicine Bar
Quite a cool, trendy place in the old custard factory in Digbeth. As well as the bar area there is a room for live music and generally has a good atmosphere away from the usual Broad Street scene.
