Review of Eat

Better than Pret 4*

Eat is a nice chain of sandwich and soup shops which food is made fresh. It's quite similar to Pret A Manger really. I actually enjoy Eat's food more than Pret's, mainly because I think Eat has more taste to its food. It takes like you're eating a sandwich for its taste rather than eating it because it's fresh. Anyway, if you get a chance, try Eat's soups. They range from quite tasty to really tasty, especially the Chicken Pot Pie and Hungarian Goulash soups. Mmm mmm. I dribble just thinking about them. The place is quite nice in decor, nothing special though. The staff are quite friendly, although occasionally a bit dozy (no spoons with soup, that kind of thing), and the price is fairly reasonable. It's a very nice place to go for a quick lunch time snack.

Good lunch-time place 3*

I'm a bit of an Eat soup fan. You can't beat the Chicken Pot Pie soup - as they say, it's an Eat classic. The soups tend to vary from really good like the chicken pot pie to disappointing like the soup resembling bovril with prawns floating in.

The sandwiches are pretty good, better than Pret in my opinion, but Pret wins the dessert battle. Like Pret, Eat is pretty expensive. You can easily spend over a fiver on a small lunch.

The service at this Eat is quite good, although sometimes its like a cattle market, what with people not knowing where to queue. The servers are nice and pretty quick, but never look particularly happy to be there.

All in all, it's a good place to get your lunch from!

Seriously amazing sandwiches 5*

One of the best sandwich shops in London. Expect thick soft white bread with a lovely crust, with a filling or three of your choice. My speciality choice is the ol' crispy bacon and sausage combo with brown sauce, done to perfection. Awesome for hangovers, extreme hunger or if you want to pig out. This is only £2.30 too. Amazing!

If you don't want to be a fat pig, they do salads and wraps too. Bit more expensive, but they are literally massive.
