Review of Avon Lodge Veterinary Centre

Very pet-icular about my vets... 5*

This is my vets (well, my cats) and they're lush. Helpful, friendly, knowledgable and stuff - they always go that extra mile to make sure you understand what's what and that kind of thing. Parking is an issue, but they recently converted the front of the building to make more space

Review of Vision Express UK

Eye didn't have a problem! 4*

Despite always going to a local opticians, I recently used Vision Express. The service was fantastic, the staff knew their stuff (luckily) and the range of specs to choose from was ample. I'd recommend VE to anyone. Deffo.

Review of Greggs

16 Apr 08, 15:49

Huff 3*

It's a greggs. It's as you'd expect. This one does get busy at lunchtimes and the bean and cheese melts are a little tasty - but to be fair i can think of better places to spend my lunch money.

Review of The Slug And Lettuce

16 Apr 08, 15:39

slug speed service... 2*

this place is ok. the food is ok. the people were nice looking. but the service was sooooo slow. I mean all i wanted was a coke - A COKE! it shouldn't have taken 10 minutes. Also the reggae-reggae sauce (as seen on dragon's den) was ultimately disappointing

Review of Broadwalk Shopping Centre

16 Apr 08, 12:14

All under 1 roof... 3*

The Broadwalk isn't your snazzy kind of shopping centre, it's more of the place you go when you need to pick something up (quickly). Clothing, food, games, books, make-up and stuff - You'll find it all in the Broadwalk. There's also a 99p shop which put the £1 shop out of business. Brilliant (altho a little sad)!

Review of Bristol Ticket Shop

Pick it for tickets! 4*

Now found on the bottom floor of the mall galleries this should be your first port of call for gig tickets in bristol (and the surrounding towns/areas). Individual tickets or travel packages - You can get it all from here!

Review of Paprika Indian Restaurant

16 Apr 08, 12:07

Best curry in South Bristol? 4*

This is my favourite curry house 'round our way. Take-away or eating in the food is always lush. The decor is modern and it's a fresh alternative to the more traditional/dated curry house experience. Be warned though, when busy you can be left waiting a while for table/food - But it's definitely worth a visit!

Review of Banco Lounge

16 Apr 08, 12:02

Lounging around.... 4*

This is one of the very popular 'lounge' bars that are scattered around Bristol. Famed for decent food and a relatively relaxed atmosphere the banco has everything you'd expect from a 'lounge'. It does get busy at times so you might have to wait a while for a table - but that's not really a problem when they have bottles of Gem in the fridge....!

Review of George Inn

Roastin' Toastin' 4*

Situated right on the main road this is a great food pub (the ale aint bad either!). The food is always fresh and tasty. During the summer, eat outside in their walled garden - it's a really lovely spot.

Review of Spyglass

16 Apr 08, 11:42

Grill-iant! 3*

The spyglass is a decent place for a bite to eat during the summer. The food is ace and the service is decent too. The only downside is that it does tend to get busy during the peak times and you can be left waiting a wee while for a table (as you can't book). But stick with it, cos it's worth it, promise!
