Review of The Coal Hole

The Coal Hole 4*

Delicious grub and HUGH portions. Highly recommend the pies and fish and chips.

It feels like a good old English country pub even though it's in the centre of London.

Prices are pretty standard for London.

The pub is quite dark, so if you're looking for ultra modern bar drinks, this isn't the place to go.

Review of Tossed

Summer Salad 3*

Tossed is great if you fancy a nice salad.

I love the bar style set up although I think prices are a little steep. You can get a menu salad for about a fiver, but other items such as accompaniments to lunch are a little pricey in my opinion.

Review of Scotts Sandwich Bar

One of my favourite in London town 4*

This sarnie shop is fab.

The jacket potatoes are HUGE and the toppings are scrumptious too. If you can get a table inside then I'd definitely recommend it as a great place to meet for lunch.

The staff a fairly friendly - but you can tell their main aim is to keep the people who form the long queue, that extends out the door most lunchtimes, waiting for as little time as possible.

The place feels clean and prices aren't 'cheap' but pretty standard for a good, filling, London lunch.

Review of Slug And Lettuce

It's not all bad 3*

This is a nice place, although as with all S&Ls can get a bit of a peculiar crowd. It's all fun though, so I say roll up and have a drink!
