Review of The End

05 May 08, 20:23

What a place to SHAKE it!!! 5*

The End has been flying the flag for underground dance music in London for 12 years now. Walk down the club's iconic stairs and you enter a different relm. The main room is made of two arches - with the flat out soundsystem and the DJ booth bang in the middle of the dancefloor adding to the electronic atmosphere. Attached is a smaller lounge which goes off as much as the main room. They have international DJ’s week in week out, covering underground music across the spectrum from drum & bass and dubstep to house and techno. Residents include Layo & Bushwacka!, Laurent Garnier, DJ Marky, Andy C, James Holden, Mr C, Steve Lawler need I say more.

Get here EARLY ! Ques, Ques, Ques!!!

Review of Chutney Mary

The Real DEAL 5*

Great upmarket Indian restaurant concentrating on sophistication & creativity rather than simplicity and authenticity. Refurbed a few years ago, the dining space is a touch glamorous but a great setting for a special night out. There's a tasting menu too if you want to try the venue's reportoire.

Review of Chowki

25 Apr 08, 14:48

Wow.. 5*

Chowki just by Piccadilly Circus-an easy to get to place serves some really fantastic food based on all the different regions of India. The prices are very reasonable despite being in Central London. The reason why I like this place is because the menu changes regularly and if you go there be prepared for surprises e.g. in one visit you may get to eat Hyderbadi dishes, the next time you may get to eat Mangalor dishes. It is advisable to call ask what regional cuisine they are serving-and pop in if it is something you are partial to.

Review of Spice Brick Lane

25 Apr 08, 14:46

yummy!! 5*

A major cultural hotspot in London and a great place to just wander around and soak up the atmosphere. The multitude of Indian restaurants that line Brick Lane are pretty infamous, and they may not be the height of quality but they are cheap and good fun. Brick Lane also offers up plenty of bars and clubs to keep you occupied on many a night out. Yummy 10/10

Review of La Porte Des Indes

25 Apr 08, 14:42

tasty food 5*

This place takes you back to the heyday of the British Empire in India. The place is beautiful and the decor is stunning....especially the waterfall feature. The restaurant is set to a British colonial theme with lots of plants and bamboos furniture etc.

The food in Indian and the menu has all your favourites. The cocktail list is extensive and very creative....Pina Colada served in a coconut shell!

The only down side is that is expensive but is an excellent place to take someone for a special occassion.

Review of Tesco Stores

25 Apr 08, 11:57

What a friendly local store. 5*

Really helpful staff, I recomend this Tesco over all the other "suposedly close" competitors. The store never runs out of products and the checkout operators are always talkative. Prices are checked frequently to ensure you're never short changed.

A lovely store for all!

Go find grab a bargain.

Review of Ministry Of Sound

What a club , BEST SOUNDSYSTEM 5*

This place has an AMAZING sound system. They always have great DJs and the decor is very modern. The crowd are always friendly but make sure you're not outside the venue for too long. Always pre arrange what you're doing to get home. I recomend the website as it is very informative about the events and promotional nights.

Entry is quiet expensive but it's worth it if you choiose the right night.

SWEAT DRIPPING OFF THE WALL AND RETARDS ON THE STAIR 5*

What an ultimate place for letting loose. Get there for 12 onwards to secure your place on the dancefloor. This place is always RAMMA! They always have world class DJs, Fridays are mainly DnB and Breakbeat wereas Saturdays are more deep dirty Techy House and Techno. All in all this place is A - Mazing ! 10/10 I must admit, I think that Saturdays are much better and the atmosphere is more friendlier.

Review of Old Manor

24 Apr 08, 15:04

The ultimate Town pub 5*

The manor always offers a wide range of friendly faces along with a selection of very well priced Lagers and Ales. They have a very good quality menu and the food never takes longer than 15 mins. You must also check this place out on christmas eve. There's an unofficial oldschool Bracknell reunion.

Nice pub, get my vote.

Review of Jongleurs @ Bar Risa

Cheeky Comedy 5*

A great place for a giggle and a pretty good night out. Comedy's usually high quality and you can grab food if you want too. After the show there's music to 2am that seems to get everyone dancing and it turns into a school disco.Always a really good night out , great for work doos.

Review of Bar Mango

24 Apr 08, 14:54

DIRTY ELECTRO 5*

What a messy night ! This place BANGS out some filthy house on the weekends. Fridays are mainly progressive House but Saturdays they really crank it up a notch and serve up a blend of Dirty Electro Techy House. The best night out in reading if you like modern dancefloors and the slightly underground scene.

Atmosphere it quite friendly! Check it out.. It beats all the bars that play pop R N B and call themselves clubs..

Review of 2-Ten FM

24 Apr 08, 14:47

Nice Radio 5*

2tenfm is a really fantastic station, the DJ's always make me chuckle and the music is generally OK .The Thunders are a lot of fun, this morning they gave me a Muffin as a part of a promotion and they are always around making people smile.

I think this station has a lot to offer for everyone.
