Review of Cork and Bottle Wine Bar

dingy yet appealing
tucked away under a sex shop off Leicester Square this is like a 70's throw back with wonderfully dated murals on the wall, checked red table cloths and wine bottles with candles in them.....

Review of Fantasy Cleaners

not as expensive as it looks
Has to be the best organised dry cleaners in london.... you go in and give your mobile number and all items are added to a database.
The whole place looks smart and well branded - you expect it to be very expensive - but it's not..... :-)
They do a shirt ironing service as well a bit like an american cleaners, where they deliver your shirts back to your house, but I've never used it

Review of Waterloo Action Centre

Great community place - get involved!
Run by the community for the last 30 years this is an old school community hall that's a bit of a hidden gem in Waterloo. You can hire out rooms for 30 to 200 people -it's got good rooms, a kitchen, and a private garden. OK not the smartest venue but it's fantastic value for money. Review of Curzon Mayfair

the comfiest seats in london!
fantastic seats, civilised bar, great 1960's decor, and close to shepherds market for dinner before or after - who could ask anything more from a cinema!

Review of Masters Super Fish

possibly the best!
well I reckon it's amazing! the number of cabbies says it all..... HUGE pieces of haddock, big old pickled onions, nick plates of prawns to start with - all adds up to a full on guilt filled night of deep fried fun!
...and the chablis's not bad either!

Review of Imperial War Museum

lots of planes and gore
I thought it was ok, but not a patch on the same one in Manchester - this seemed to be heavy on the machinary of war, but not so impressive on the causes and effects.
Still my god children loved it - ieven the gory bits.....

Review of Marsh Ruby

fantastic food, cheap - but only at lunch!
What a great place! the curry is fab and they have queues out the door every day..... only issue is that they don't open in the evening but then again Lower Marsh can be a bit barren at night.
Check it out if you live in the area.

Review of Radio Days

Brilliant vintage stuff
Chrissy and Lee run radio days on lower marsh - and have done for the last 20 years or so.
They've got an amazing array of vintage clothing, magazines and odds and sods like sunglasses, radios, and cocktail bars.....
sometimes a bit pricy, but the range is amazing and well worth a visit!

Review of Lina Stores

you must must must try the fresh pasta
This is my favourite food shop in London. It's been run by the same two guys for 30-40 years and they are a great double act. Always welcome you into the shop and have a laugh with the locals.
Their fresh raviolli are amazing - especially the pumpkin one - it's instant dinner party material - boil for 4 minutes and serve with butter and some of the fresh sage they sell as well.
The decors not bad as well - like walking back to the 60's.
Long may they thrive!
