Review of Cafe Gusto

Lovely Lunches!
Want your lunch made the way you like it? Cafe Gusto is the place for you!
They have a huge selection of fillings to choose from which can be made into a sandwhich, baguette, wrap, bagel, pannini or put on a baked potato!
Your lunch made your way....delicious!
The only problem I have with Cafe Gusto is trying to avoid the temptation of the lovely looking cakes and sweet treats positioned just within reach on the till!

Review of Goose At The Fighting Cocks

Comfortable, Cosy and Effortlessly Cool!
This pub was one of the reasons I moved to Moseley! From my very first evening spent relaxing over a bottle of wine there with friends, I knew it was my kind of place!
It has a huge drinks menu including some more unusual fruit beers and plenty to offer the designated driver.
Also look out for their tempting food menu. However.....be warned, the food can be a bit hit and miss. Great for dinner with a perfectly cooked half roast chicken costing a reasonable £8.50, but on one occasion I was served some rather plastic looking and tasting scrambled eggs as part of a full english breakfast.
Despite this I would still encourage you to give it a try as it's the perfect place for an afterwork drink with friends. Weekend are usually busy with the atmosphere buzzing and tables disappear fast, but the garden at the rear provides extra space complete with patio heaters.

Review of Wagamama
17 Apr 08, 16:15
High Quality Fast Food
Need a quick dinner or just something hot and healthy to give you the strength to carry on shopping ....head to Wagamama's!
Its fast, friendly and informal. Food is bought to you as soon as its cooked rather than sitting under a hot plate for 10 minutes. This does mean your food wont always arrive the same time as your friends but as long as you know this before you go the best thing to do is tuck in!
If the menu makes your head spin on your first visit try the chicken ramen. Nothing too spicy but the flavour is fantastic.

Review of Eat

Try the soup!
Eat Soup has become something of a cult within our office and Chicken Pot Pie day is not to be missed!
Fresh and filling and priced around £3 it makes an excellent lunch option. (And you can check the weeks menu online!)
Soup aside, eat also does a great range of sandwichs, baguettes and my favourite...sushi.
Something for everyone here.

Review of Body & Being

Need to escape?
Every girl needs a treat every now and then and for me its a massage at body and being......Heaven!
Expect friendly service and a relaxing treatment.
Body and being also has monthly offers with discounts on certain treatments.
I can also recommend the Yoga classes which leave you feeling wonderful. (But be sure to book in advance).

Review of Radisson Sas Hotel

One day.......
I will live in the penthouse suite at the Radisson!
But until then I am more than happy checking into one of their lovely standard rooms.
The decor is lovely and with floor to ceiling window the views are great.
Its wonderfully located near to New Street Station, the bullring shopping centre and various theatres, and even has its own fine Italian restaurant.
Most reccomended!

Review of Dogma Bar

The best bar in Lincoln!
For a fabulous cocktail or food with friends there really is no better place in Lincoln.
The prices are around £5 for a cocktail but its worth it! Look out for the various drinks offers though as a great way to save some money.
There is a great choice of sandwichs and main meals as well as range of plates designed for sharing. I have yet to make it to dessert but there is plenty of choice!
The staff are friendly and the service prompt.
Overall a great experience.

Review of La Plancha
18 Apr 08, 16:24
Great Tapas AND Cocktails
Although I feel that La Plancha is a little over priced for its portion size the food is lovely.
Expect to pay £4.50 per dish and a little more for some of the king prawn dishes.
You need about 6 dishes per couple so the price does soon add up. However the choice is excellent. Be sure to check out the specials board which gives even more choice.
La Plancha also has a large range of cocktails also priced around £5 which are the perfect addition to dinner.
The restaurant upstairs does get busy at weekends so booking is advisable but the bar downstairs has a relaxed atmosphere and has few tables where you can also order your food and drinks.

Review of Selfridges

In a hurry! This is a one stop shop!
If you only have your lunch hour to find the perfect outfit for your night out I reccomend House of Fraser.
Quicker than walking the entire Bullring, House of Fraser has a good range of concessions within a matter of metres. These include Oasis, Mango and Warehouse. And if your budget with stretch, Miss Sixty and Diesel.

Review of Selfridges

Sensory overload!
Whenever I want to show a visiting friend something really great about birmingham I always take them to Selfridges in the Bullring.
The ground floor food hall and shop really has to be seen to be believed and offers everything from a champagne bar to Sushi and even a Crispy Creme cafe. Amazing. The sights, sounds and smells are wonderful.
Also downstairs you will find a huge range of imported food products so if Hersheys chocolate is your idea of a treat, this is the place to find it.
