Good Breakfasts 4*

I love this little place, its just by the Plymouth side of the cremyll ferry.

You can tell the breakfasts are going to be good when you walk in and see the workmen sat with the suits having meetings all tucking in together.

They do half breakfasts too, which is just perfect for me.

It can get pretty busy at peak times but the efficient service means you never have to wait that long.

The only annoying thing is that they don't open on a Sunday.

Review of The Blues Bar & Grill

Not just good music 4*

Well know for having a great showcase of local talent playing live, they also do really nice food.

Their burgers are among the best in Plymouth and on a summers days you really can't beat the view from the outside seats.

I like all the photos and pictures they have up, really makes it feel like a proper blues bar.

Great Day Out 5*

This is a great place to go not just for kids but for grown ups too.

There are so many things to see and do, the shark tanks are superb as are the coral reefs. Its definately worth the money and they add new stuff all the time too.

Also if you are a Plymouth Resident check when you go in as sometimes they have special entry price offers if you can prove you are a local.

Review of Barbican Pasta Bar

Always a good choice 4*

What I like about this place is that you know that you are going to have good food and good service.

Their pasta dishes are great and a bit different from the ones you get in the chain restaurants - having said that though one of my favrourites is their Lasagne.

If you want to go at the weekend book a table as its always busy and bustling like any good Italian should be.

Review of Hospital Radio Plymouth

Good for the local community 5*

If you would like to get into radio or you just fancy doing a good deed for your community this is a really good place to join.

They've just won a couple of prestigious awards and hospital radio really can make a difference to peoples stay in hospital.

I started my radio career here as did many other radio and TV presenters including Phillip Schofiled.

There are a registered charity and always in need of funding for the great work that they do.

Review of Carpie Diem

Great little bar 5*

This is a great place for dinner or drinks. Its a small independantly run bar - the food is lovely and reasonably priced as is the wine. They make proper cocktails too.

Being on North Hill the downstairs window seats are great for people watching.

Oh and all the staff are fab too.

Review of The Cavern

Everything a small music venue should be 4*

The Cavern is a small underground venue in the centre of Exeter, it gets alot of good up and coming bands playing as well as hosting great Indie and Rock nights.

The staff are cool and friendly and there is always a nice crowd. Very student friendly but just as good for the rest of us aswell.

I last saw Lightspeed Champion in there and they were fab.

My Old Local 5*

This was my local for the year the I lived in Camberwell.

Its is a very arty place and just as enjoyable on a weekend afternoon as it is in the evening.

It can be a bit pricey but its so much better than the places around it, its worth the extra couple of quid and saves you heading further than a walk away if your living in Camberwell.

Review of Kitty O'Hanlons

15 Apr 08, 12:26

Good Place for a drink with your mates 4*

I remember back when Kittys was the Abbey, and its still as good today as it ever was.

Its an Irish Pub but not one of those gimmicky places it does feel like a real Irish Bar.

The staff are always lovely and if you are looking for a place to celebrate St Patricks Day then this is it.
