Local Food 3*

Great location up on the top of the Blackdown Hill above Taunton and Wellington. Local Food, well cooked and presented. Can be crowded especially over Bank Holidays and quite pricey but the pub is stuffed with history and memorabilia - fantastic bits of history of the area everywhere

Authentic 3*

We visited here a couple of months ago just to get our fix of greek food. The food was good and authentic and staff attentive. the main problem is the setting. A very long narrow space and it just lacked atmosphere. It was a shame as the food was good

Treasure Trove 3*

Remember those shops with lines of shelves stacked with glass jars of multi coloured (E-numberpacked) sweets - Well pop in here and you can buy all those sweets you remember (in grams these days) and even sugar free versions. Can often find fun little presents as well. Avoid after school time as shop is often packed!

Repairs 3*

I have had several repairs done in this shop and can highly recommend for an excellent service I took a string of pearls in here the other day and within a week they were returned as good as new, restrung correctly. Perfect. Good service and prompt

Friendly service 3*

Always busy and the queue can be long sometimes which is off putting but the staff have always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. The tables are generally clean and tidy and you can usually find a seat. Coffee consistantly good. When the staff got my daughter's drink wrong the apologies were profuse and they replaced immediately with a much bigger version

Friendly Local Shop 3*

Support your local shop - I have shopped here for over 10 years and have never been let down. Much better quality that the local superstores and always have great advice and personal service. When pushed for time i have called in an oredr and they have had it ready so i can whizz straight in and out - where else could you get that - certainly not at the supermarket

Good saddlery 3*

Can usually find what i need here and if not the staff can usually come up with a suitable alternative. Just outside Taunton and parking not a problem - Good notice board as well

Review of Foxton Inclined Plane Trust The

Must see 3*

You can happily spend the day just watching the world go by here and the narrow boats going up and down the series of locks - in our case without too many mistakes - great fun and you can get a cup of tea at the top or bottom of the flight. On a sunny day very busy and the parking can be full and you have to park in the overflow which is a distance away.

Good for a rainy outing 3*

Jumped in here when the heavens opened one afternoon - took about 2 hours to wander around , the skarks were amazing and we were there for the feeding - Lots of information and talks going on - was busy though and couldn't get to the string rays which was disappointing.

Camel Trail 3*

Have used this company several times and the bikes are always of a good standard and fine for a bike ride up to Padstow and back. You can even get bikes with extra comfy seats - well worth the extra. Quick ride along the road to join the Camel Trail - Geat day out of adult and children alike

Pub 3*

As an alternative to the Padstein we had a lovely sandwich/soup lunch here and watched the world go by. Although perhaps cycling back from lunch would have been easier if I hadn't had a pint of cider!

Good Food but Pricey 3*

Great tasting food freshly prepared in nice surroundings in the village of Pitminster. Loved the food but I did think it was expensive. Friendly service and was quite on the weekday lunchtime we visited

Have been helpful when I have bought a couple of cars from them although their timekeeping for a pre booked test drive left a lot to be desired - Servicing OK

Review of Tramontes Italian Restaurant

A liitle bit of Italy 3*

Not the best surroundings but the food is authentic and well cooked with fresh produce and the aroma just transports you to the Med - my daughter recommends the Garilc bread and Calamari
