Great Pub 
Good Pub cosy and welcoming. Food is good too and since the smoking ban definately one of our favourites. Food portions are large and the carvery on Sundays was good value last time we visited. There are some good walks in the Blackdown Hills nearby with a stop here to recover

Local Food 
Great location up on the top of the Blackdown Hill above Taunton and Wellington. Local Food, well cooked and presented. Can be crowded especially over Bank Holidays and quite pricey but the pub is stuffed with history and memorabilia - fantastic bits of history of the area everywhere

Disappointing 
You can't drive here but can either get the ferry from Topsham, cycle or walk along the canal path or paddle. Whenever we have been here it has been so busy that they seem unable to cope and the loos etc needed a clean. They do run BBQ's in the summer but we have usually taken a picnic and grabbed just a drink and settled down to admire the view

Wonderful 
Remember to book especially for Sunday Lunch. the food was good, biggest yorkshire puds I have ever seen and lovely crumble for pudding - Clean, fun of history and views of the canal that are stunning with narrow boats everywhere

Good Fun
One of the hang outs for the Leicester Uni Students - drinks were cheap and huge dance floor. Recommended by my daughter - it is a favourite and always a good night out

Took cover here when the weather closed in to dry our socks and ended up spending the rest of the afternoon here - Great lunch - Fish and Chips were great and lovely open fire. Great view and sand to play on

Lovely old pub
Roaring fire when we were there in February on a horrible rain swept day. Just what we needed after a 4 mile bracing walk over from Golant. Right in the middle of Fowey

As an alternative to the Padstein we had a lovely sandwich/soup lunch here and watched the world go by. Although perhaps cycling back from lunch would have been easier if I hadn't had a pint of cider!

Good Food but Pricey
Great tasting food freshly prepared in nice surroundings in the village of Pitminster. Loved the food but I did think it was expensive. Friendly service and was quite on the weekday lunchtime we visited
