Review of Eat

Eat eat eat
This branch of Eat opened just over a year ago, and is still super popular with the lunch crowd in Knightsbridge. Get here early if a) you want to eat in b) you don't want to spend half your lunch hour in a queue. The best thing about Eat is that you can collect the menu at the beginning of the week and pin it above your desk, so you'll know what soups are planned. The soups are low calorie so if you're being good (or boring) this is a good call. Personally, I prefer the perfect little Banoffee pies they do to takeaway.

Shiny happy shopper
This is a branch of the famous crystal company. It sells everything from the higher end fashion jewellery through to those dreadful crystal swans and teddy bears that are so very useful. Some of the fashion stuff is really rather lovely (though no substitute for the real thing) so for anyone who has a bit of the magpie in them, this is a good place to stock up on some bling.

Fashionista -ish
There aren't many branches of this womenswear fashion label in London and this is one of the few stand alone stores. It has two floors. I really like some of their clothes, they tend towards the directional and flashy end of the fashion spectrum so lots of sparkles and slashed necklines. You have to go a bit out of the way to get to the store, its at the less popular end of the Brompton rd, but they have a far bigger selection of the current collection here than they do at the concessions in Harrods or Harvey nics.

Real takeaway
The takeaway service here is super quick and relatively healthy, so if you're still at your desk at 9pm and need some sustenance better to swing by here than pick up the phone to Dominos. The food is cooked to order, while you wait, and to your specification.

Review of The Berkeley Health Club and Spa

Feeling Blue
This bijou bar set in the Berkeley hotel lives up to its name: the blue colour scheme is muted and elegant, while linen drinks' mats and charming furnishings are the order of the day. It feels casual and boutique-y, but also very indulgent. The cocktails, especially the Cosmos, are excellent
