Review of Monkey World

24 May 08, 17:40

This place rocks my Monkey World 5*

This place is everything you would hope it might be. There's no denying it's pricey but you'd probably have to say it's worth it. There are loads of monkeys here and what you have to remember is that they are all rescued. This isn't a zoo getting them for people's entertainment - it's a sanctuary for the monkeys who have been treated badly elsewhere. However, let's not get away from the fact that these guys are natures entertainers!! Absolutely fascinating to watch these guys play and argue amongst eachother. Play area and food areas as expected and a huge car park. Well worth the visit.

Review of Burger King

You got it 3*

Not just a Burger King, it's a drive thru Burger King. Bonus. Plenty of parking round the back. Pretty large restaurant inside and it's never that busy as it's a little out of town and not near anything other than the hospital. Easy access from Castle Lane.

Review of McDonald's Restaurants

It's in Boscombe - I'm just about lovin' it... 2*

This McDonalds is on the end of the pedestrianised part of Boscombe precinct. You'd only be using this I reckon if you're shopping and therefore parked in the Soveriegn Centre. The food is obviously to the normal McDonalds standard so if that's what you're after then great. How do I put this delicatly though...the patrons may not be the nicest to eat around taking into account the area it is situated in. Grab your food and go.

Review of McDonald's Restaurants

You can do it when you B&Q it...I'm lovin' it! 3*

A McDonalds on a retail park that is a mecca for DIY nuts - what a great idea. This place is a Drive Thru too so if you can't be bothered to get your bum out of the car then it's perfect. Loads of parking around otherwise to use the 'restuarant' which I would describe as average in size. Right down by Holes Bay so some decent views to be seen too.

Review of McDonald's Restaurants

That's ASDA price - I'm lovin' it. 4*

A McDonalds in a supermarket - a fantastic idea. Smaller than your standard McDonalds granted, however I would also say this is cleaner than your standard McDonalds too. It's right across the front of the store by the tills and easy to use if you're not shopping in the store anyway.

Review of McDonald's Restaurant

I'm still lovin' it 3*

Right in the centre of town, this is a McDonalds you'd only visit if you're shopping or on a night out and want food. Get's really busy during the day and like any of them gets absolutely over run with foreign lanuage exchange students. Great. Benches outside in the pedestrianised area if you want to eat outside although it's generally filthy with old food packets everywhere.

I'm lovin' it 3*

This McDonald's is a Drive Thru. Bonus - I don't even have to get out of the car to get my food and get fat! Plenty of parking around the side if you do want to go in and eat. The 'restaurant' inside is relatively large and also has a really large kids play are. Thats right; feed them up and then let them run about. What a great idea.

Review of Bath Road Service Station

24 May 08, 16:54

Dip your nozzle here... 4*

There isn't too much you can say about a petrol station. However, this one always seems to have some of the cheapest prices. Whenever there is a 'petrol crisis' on, this place always seems to be cheap. As I speak, there is one at the moment and I am filling up here. It's so close to the centre of town and the beach so maybe that's why.

Review of Dingles

20 May 08, 16:50

Bournemouth's 2nd best Department Store 3*

There is nothing wrong with Dingles. It is a fine House of Fraser store, however I prefer Dingles. There is a fine range of different goods you can get here from clothing to homewear. Thing is that I reckon that Beales is done out that bit smarter. Some would say that the stock in Dingles is actually better but hey - horses for courses.

Review of Beales

20 May 08, 16:30

'You've all done very well...' 4*

There used to be an element of Grace Brothers about Beales but it's had a lot of work done on it over the last few years and the store in Bournemouth Town Centre is a real department store. On about five different floors, this has everything from clothing to homeware to cosmetics to gadgets. Not much you won't find in here and all to a high quality too.
