This odyssey of Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine at the bottom of a Hove restidential road is way off the beaten track, but has a loyal following nonetheless. Decor is 1970's meets Far East.

Prepare to take a trip back to the 80's with prawn cocktail, steak and chips and creme caramel or sherry trifle on the menu.There's been a change of ownership recently but it's still as good as ever, you know what you're getting

Vast menu
Anyone for seafood porridge? This vast efficient restaurant has almost 200 dishes, there's pretty much every chinese dish you can think of. Ever tried deep fried ice cream? No me neither but it's on the menu!

Great outside area
Strada does very well because it's in a great location just before you go into the North Laines, and it also has a great outside area which is lovely in the summer. The food is always good, you know what you're getting at Strada.

Simple and french
This is a popular Camden brasserie, it does simple french food and wines. Very friendly and accomodating staff. I usually have the salmon and brilliant french fries. Never seems as popular as the Wagamamas next door

This used to be named Time Out pub of the year. Although now the ambience seems the same now, it is always busy, it feels as though it's seen better days and probably isn't as popular as it once was. Does good Guiness

A good fast food option
Fast food that seems healthy is what you get from Subway. It is fast, definately. There are many options of bread, the foot long seems a little greedy but they have the six inch version which is perfect. Whether this is a really healthy option for lunch is debatable but it's certainly better than burger and chips

One of the first Browns
This was one of the first Browns to open and was really popular way back before it became a well known brand. It had queues out of the door and took ages to get a seat. Nowadays it's still popular, a really good Browns. It's a great building which helps the popularity. I'm not sure it ever warrented all of the attention as the food is pretty average, but it's exceptable

Great garden
This is quite a quaint little pub in the centre of Hove. It has lots of character, and has lots of nooks and crannies so that it can be quite small and intimate. It has a great garden, which is quite a pull in the summer

This is a nice little Italian restaurant, that has a very extensive menu. It's always popular, a good indication, has great dishes, especially the seafood. There's plenty of choice near it, but it's up there with the rest of them

Lunch in Camden
If you are in Camden and want a fast,tasty and quick lunch, this is the place. Great ,substantial burgers with a choice of fries (fat or thin) with salad.they even have a choice of veggie burgers. Beware as it is very popular....i sat next to Amy Winehouse

Modern style furnishings
This is a great little shop, lots of great pieces of furniture and accessories for your home, mainly in a modern style.They do a great selection of kitchen ware, bedroom furniture, some great lighting and dining furniture. Well worth a visit

Always friendly
You know what you're getting with Timpsons. Very convenient, good quality shoe repairs and key cutting. Not much more to it, but you don't need there to be, simple. Good service too, always very friendly and helpful

Lovely cakes
Lovely cakes, great coffee, great enviroment, french staff. All in all a good little cafe. Would be a lot lot better if they provided a good service, sometimes they can be a bit slow. But on a saturday morning, over a cup of coffee and the newspapers, it doesn't really matter

Mighty Burgers
Gourmet Burgers is conveniently located next to Komedia, which is great if you're going to a gig and only have a quick half an hour to eat beforehand. Gourmet Burger allows you to eat a good quality burger in no time at all, perfect. Personally, I like the thai chicket burger, but the variety is substantial so you could chose whatever you like, they probably have over 20 different options to chose from. Well worth a visit

Get fit!
Esporta Racquet Club is a really good gym, it has everything you'd need. The gym itself is well equipped and has enough machines for everyone to use them. There's also some very good classes, and lots of courts for rcquet sports. It's got a very good atmosphere, quite family orientated. The swimming pools are a decent size, one inside and one out. So, a great gym to be a member of, but you do pay for it, the prices are quite steep.

Good store for Brighton
i like the clothes they sell in Jack Wills, it's just the right style for chilling out on Brighton beach. It's good quality stuff, if a little pricey. Don't feel too concerned if you can't fit in your normal size though, they come up small!
