excellent food 
This is a real hidden gem. There's a large garden to sit in with a small patio near the back door. Be aware that if you sit down the bank the serving staff arent allowed to carry the food down to you, you have to go collect it.
The view is amazing across rolling hills.
Inside is warm and cosy with a family run feeling.
The food is astounding, absolutely amazing.
As previous commenter says, the only way to get there (unless you live in fletching you lucky sods) is to drive, parking is cramped but we've always found a slot either in the pub car park itself or in the small car park across the road (200 yards away)

ok for a drink 
Being on Perrymount Road, it's a place to stop in the evening and have a drink but I wouldn't recommend eating there, it seems to get worse by the week.

Bar Boo goes Thai
Bar Boo, great as it was, no longer exists.
Now it's the most fantastic Thai (which used to jsut be upstairs and now owns the whole building).
The most excellent food in Haywards Heath.
Try and get an upstairs window table for intimacy.
Go downstairs if you're a big party.
Absolutely thoroughly recommended for it's brilliant food, attentive service and Singha beer

Review of The Priory Restaurant

Been a couple of times
First time got turned out into the cold from the bar, somewhere about our 2nd pint because we had a dog with us (even though there were other dogs in the bar who's owners werent turned out.)
Second time got refused entry by a jobsworth doorman (it was very early evening and the place was .. and remained empty)
Seems expensive with no atmosphere, the food is awful and the beer isnt great either.
Won't go again - lots of nicer places in HH who are happy to see us.
