not your usual local
This is more of a restaurant now than it used to be. With an extensive menu and great range of drinks this places gets really really busy so would reccommend booking. The deli boards are great to share with pals over a bottle of wine or if you fancy something more filling the burger made with horse radish is amazing.

Excellent food
This is a perfect place to a meal out. There is plenty of parking near by and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. There is a wide range of choice on the menu and the food is always tasty. This is a little more expensive than other Indian restaurants nearby but it is well worth a visit. They also do takeaway

Perfect if you are on a budget
Good pub if you are on a budget - This is a Weatherspoons so very similar to the others although this one doesn't seem to get as busy as the others in Reading. The place is huge so always plenty of places to sit and the beer garden is lovely in the Summer. Good range of drinks at decent prices.

Fabulously BAD!
This club is deservedly the second worst club in Europe (As voted by FHM). HOWEVER it is also brilliant. Full of Durham uni students (which is great if you are a Durham uni Student) it is certainly an experience. The owner is often the door man and you can play double or quits to get in meaning you can often get in for free. You will stick to the dancefloor it is so covered in Snaky B and WKD and Chesney Hawkes is played practically every other song. A perfect student night out

Wouldn't recommend
The guy we spoke to here didn;t take any notice of our price range! Most of the places he wanted us to view were way over our highest limit and when we did find somewhere we could stretch to he wanted us to make a bank transfer that afternoon of a £400 ''holding deposit'' despite the office not being open so we couldn't do it securely. Only given a sort code and account number - not even an account name so no idea if it was the business account! All seemed a bit underhand so walked away.

Cheers!
The guys than run this place are fabulous! They are on a par with supermarket prices, have a wider range and if you go there enough they will remember what you want and sometimes have it ready chilled for you (if it needs chilling).

gone down hill
This pub has had more makeovers than Madonna! It has sometimes had a fab restaurant and sometimes been all microwave food - at the moment it is more the latter. The refurb a couple of years ago has taken away some of the charm of this old village pub and given it more of a restaurant/wine bar atmosphere which isn't fitting to the quality of the food/atmosphere.
I hope someone rescues this place soon as it has such potential.

Great little local
Great local pub, friendly staff and wide range of drinks available. Beautiful garden in a central village location, perfect place to take the kids in Summer as there is a small adventure playground in the garden.
Excellent restaurant too.

great place to eat
Fabulous place to pop in and have a bite to eat before going the the cinema. The service was quick and friendly and the food value for money.
We had the unappetisingly named slug platter but it was really tasty (and not made from slugs)

LOVE IT
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. It is a family run place with the tastiest pizza this side of Rome! Great place for kids too, try to order the table by the window into the kitchen and if you catch thier eye the chefs will start throwing the pizza bases and making a bit of a show! Great value for money. Does get really really busy so make sure you book - however if the weather is good get your pizza to take away and eat it on the way home! Seating outside with heaters too
