Review of The Peacock Inn

A Great Country Pub
It's not that easy to find, but once you're there it's the epitome of a great country pub, with wooden beams, open fire, ale on tap, good wholesome food with a massive selection (both on the menu and on the specials blackboards) and a great beer garden to relax in on a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon. Family friendly but can get very busy on a Sunday and you can only book for the first seating at 1pm. After that it's first come first served. Worth it though!

Review of Birmingham Hippodrome

Dance Xchange
On Thorpe Street is the entrance to the Dance Xchange which is still part of the Hippodrome. All sorts of dance classes are taught here and they're not just for kids... they do adult ballet classes for beginners to advanced as well as salsa, street, and loads more. Classes are held throughout the week as well as the weekends, and there are loads which are open to absolute beginners, so if you fancy having a go, just do it! I thought it would be a bit intimidating, but everyone's in the same boat and it's just fun having a go.

Review of Eye Q Opticians

They can't do enough
Great staff who will go out of their way to help you. They don't have a vast range of frames in store, but what they do have is quality and you're bound to find something you like. With many opticians now it's one in one out, fast service but if you like personal service and taking a bit more time about your decision, this is definately the place to come.

Review of Cielo

Italian Style in the City
A great place to go for some really good Italian food in Birmingham. They do a set menu before 7pm but all the food is delicious and a good price. try the Cielo Merlot if you're a red wine fan! The staff are very attentive and even fold your napkin for you when you've nipped to the loo!

Review of The Living Room

An All Rounder
Whether you want a light bite at lunchtime, a cocktail before dinner or an evening meal, The Living Room is a great place to go. Also a live music venue on various nights throughout the week and a nice chilled out place to meet up on a Saturday afternoon. It also has a private dining room which holds up to 18 people, but you do have to book early! Great food, friendly staff and an all round nice atmosphere - be warned though.. .no trainers on a Saturday night!
