More than expected 5*

Nice friendly atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to help and assist you.

Lots of good new equipment.

Lush outdoor swimming pool. The place to be seen and visit 3 times a week minimum.

Review of Fox FM

Oxfordshire should be renamed to Foxordshire 5*

When I first moved to Oxfordshire I didn't know much about the area and missed my home town in Denham. I tuned into Fox 102.6 and 97.4 FM and soon started to feel part of Oxfordshire. The traffic and travel helped alot getting to know what the roundabouts where called. Places to visit, what the shopping centre was called and where to go to visit and eat. Not only does FOX broadcast 24/7 but their website is brilliant! Oxfordshire wouldn't be the same without FOX.

The music is great and the presenters know their stuff.

Review of Millets Farm

Great Place to buy Local Produce 5*

You can spend a whole day here.

They have a great maze and gardens for the kids.

An excellent garden centre obviously selling plants, great garden furniture and outdoor clothing.

My favourite bit is the shop where you can buy frozen summerfruits, vegetables, roast potatoes all grown there. You can pick your own fruit and veg too or buy fresh from the shop! A great fish counter and butchers selling local produce.

Roast Dinner isn't too bad either. For a cheap roast stay downstairs. If you venture upstairs its like a 5 star hotel and 5 times as much as downstairs, worth it for a special event.

Review of Nags Head

Rough looking but good food 3*

A little rough looking from the outside but its a great place to sit outside by the river and tuck into a great Burger and Chips.

2 meals for £10 from Monday to Thursday - good value.

Review of Boat House

Beautiful location shame about the football 2*

An idyllic located River Thames pub overlooking the historical Wallingford Bridge. You can get on a boat from here that takes you up or down stream in the summer months. Opposite is an outdoor swimming pool and you can walk into the town centre. Sounds too good to be true!

One down fall, its full of young ones drinking too much and too many large screens. If you thought of getting away from the football - think again!.

Best avoided when the River Thames is floaded as you wont be able to sit on the terrace - nor walk down the beautiful steps leading down to the river.

Review of A Piece Of Cake

The icing on the cake 5*

This shop has never let me down. What ever unusual request I have had for a novelyy cake. They also have a great website too!

Very reasonably priced. Get in early for your Christmas goodies as they have been known to run out in the shop (web is normally OK).

FUN and LIVELY 5*

When you walk into this experienced hairdressers and beauty salon you think you are walking into a party! A very personal and professional service is available from all trained staff.

Family run by a Sicilian lady called Josie.

If you can afford it go for the hair extensions - it will transform you and make you feel a million dollars for that special day!

Review of Rounds Sandwiches

Hot and Cold 4*

Great sandwiches and a very good price. The shop has an excellent selection of sandwiches and you can have what you want. For example, the person in front of me requested, Marmite, Cheese and Pickle - and HE wasn't even pregnant!

If you office doesn't get a delivery give them a call and they will add you to the delivery service.

In the winter they do great hot breakfast baps and soup!

Review of Carrot & Corriander

Fruit & Veg 5*

An excellent place to buy FRESH fruit and vegetables. If trade place a regular order and they will deliver to your door.

They also have an excellent selection of fresh cut flowers and healthy looking plants and summer bedding. If you want something in particular they can get it for you the next day when they go to market.

A few parking places just outside - no chance of a parking ticket.

Review of Gaudio's Delicatessens

TRUE ITALIAN! 5*

If you like cooking Italian food then come to this "supermarket" and buy everything you need. They have an excellent chilled area selling cold meats, cheeses and my favourite - fresh ricotta.

The fresh bread smell reminds me of my home town in Sicily and the excellent fresh vegetables and fruit are to die for.

If its around lunchtime, pop in and get a fresh made panini - my mouth is watering as I write this.

They sell alcohol too - my favourite is Averna Amaro - an aquired taste.
