Better in the good old days 
Unfortunately this pub has changed hands several times and they still haven't got it right. You cannot beat the idillic location and interior but for some reason (which locals can't work out) it's just not right.
If you're having a walk and get thirsty then yes pop in for a drink but go elsewhere for food - for now anyway!

Excellent Service 
Modern interior pub but still with the quaint old fashioned service and feel.
The food is excellent and plenty of it if you like large portions.
The chips are handmade and are the best in Oxfordshire.
You can also play Aunt Sally in the secluded garden.
