Review of Moss

Better than I thought!
I used to cringe slightly at the thought of going into a Moss Bros. But I needed a dress shirt in a hurry (as you do) and this was the nearest place to get one from.
Chap there was very helpful - found me exactly what I wanted and some decent cufflinks to match. And it was decent value too.
I still want to chop the label out, though.

Lovely old pub
Admittedly, I've not been in this pub since Wells bought out Youngs. But I hope it's not changed too much. It's a bit of an old man's pub, but I happen to like old pubs and beams in the ceilings. Pass me my pipe and slippers.

Great curry house
Okay - so I used to live very near this place when Iwas at college. And having to resist the wonderful aromas that came from that place when walking back from lectures was particularly tricky. The menu is your standard indian fare, but they do know how to made a damned good curry and prices are reasonable. Watch out for the cardimon pods in the rice - accidentally bite into one of those and you'll know about it.

Good French food without the snobbery
I've eaten here a few times and have always thought that it is a great place to eat. The waiters are helpful and unobtrusive. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. Top stuff.

You can't beat Sam Smiths pubs
As with most Sam Smiths pubs, this is an unusual building. And it offers much more value than the average boozer - good beer at very reasonable prices. But no Stella here - it's all own brand. You'll have to go elsewhere for your 8 pints of wife-beater. A pint of Old Brewery Bitter, please.
